Ah Renee from 'Attitudes', another of those fun, upbeat characters who used to rock up to the studio and put a bit of fizz into the TSVs etc. Those days are long gone, alas. How funny, I had completely forgotten about her 'buffet waistbands', LMAO! It conjures up images of enormous, bejewelled...

Thanks for the update - these threads are showing me how out of touch I am with today's QVC. It wasn't a conscious choice, I just stopped watching a while back, because it got dull. Too many irritants like the supposed experts who never actually share any expertise (which would be fascinating)...

    The Presenters!

Oh Lord, so true - don't get me started on Ruth Langsford, and the way she needlessly PUTS huge EMPHASIS on EVERY other WORD. As though every single thing she says is of critical, life-changing importance, and simply MUST command your full attention - when all she's doing is pointing out the...

Agreed, Joan Rivers was a true star - they must have felt her regal presence the second she swept into QVC Towers in a cloud of expensive perfume! Her costume jewellery was excellent too IMO, I have a few pieces purchased back in the day, and the design and quality have stood the test of time.

YES!!! Bravo - it was Lenny from Nina Leonard. Does QVC still sell that brand?

How I miss QVC's glory years when fun, charismatic people with a bit of 'Oomph' would rock up to the studios in person to set out their stall, heralded at midnight by their brand new TSV. I'm talking the late Joan Rivers, Dennis Basso, Tova Borgnine, even Ralph of the much-missed 'Honora Pearls'...

    Gemporia still sinking

Totally agree! Gems TV viewers are not as dumb as they hope!

    Debbie Flint on the news.

I actually DO fancy having a dig! Brissles is absolutely right, we need an insider, preferably/realistically a former insider, with inside info on the 2012 scandal - specifically who took that damn crown home at cost price! I've got some thoughts but won't write them here, as anyone approached...

    Debbie Flint on the news.

Me too, I'm dying to know who 'stole' the crown jewels for a measly grand, lol! I'd have contacted the Daily Mail myself had I known about it back then. This is exactly the kind of middle class scandal the Mail loves - it even has a royal angle! The DM even covered the 'Diamonique replica crown...

    Debbie Flint on the news.

I'm a newbie to the forum (though a 20+ years Q customer), and joined specifically to find out if there was any resolution to the Diamonique / Diamond Jubilee Crown Mystery/Scandal. A wonderful member called Stratobuddy did some sleuthing way back in 2012 and got confirmation from customer...
