The Ideal World Christmas Song ...

Isn't that their hi-tech warehouse? The one they haven't burned down yet, where our orders are stored for months before being sent out? That's probably a bit unfair. Ideal World have been much better at deliveries recently than in the past.

The Ideal World Christmas Song ...

It's dire and embarrassing. Just like much of Ideal World's programming. :)

    finding your venus curve

I think it's close to Uranus. Which, coincidently, is what most Ideal World presenters talk out of. :giggle:

    £120!

Now I know what I want for Xmas... :giggle:

I wish people wouldn't blame the presenters...

Ah yes, the 'just following orders' defence. Popular at war crime tribunals.

    The £1 Million Giveaway

Scarflace. Sounds like a character from a gangster or slasher movie: Scar Face.

£500 for a cake pattern maker

I'd rather spend the £500 on cake. Don't care if it's got any pretty designs on it. :)

    Win24 advert / Martin Parker

Martin Parker looks a bit constipated in Ideal World's Win24 advert. :)

    Does QVC refund P&P charges?

Does QVC refund P&P charges when you return an item? According to EU consumer law they--and other TV shopping channels--should, providing it's returned within seven days under Distance Selling Regulations. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/10560466.stm: A BBC investigation has found that...

    Little Yello steam cleaner

The ones that came with the steamer are small and thin and not too special. Fortunately I also bought a pack of other ones, which are much better: http://www.idealworld.tv/Essentials_Pack_of_8_Microfibre_Cloths_161459.aspx?fh_location=//idealworld/en_GB/$s=microfiber

    Little Yello steam cleaner

Ideal World's Pick Of The Day is Little Yello steam cleaner for £42.99 + £5.99P&P. What a bargain! Well, maybe not. I bought mine last year for £39.99 + £5.95P&P. Okay, admittedly VAT was only 15% back then and it's back up at 17.5% now, but that doesn't equate to £3! Oh, and mine came with...

Iron broken down - who do I contact?

They probably need to make sure you haven't been ironing too vigorously with it. :giggle:

    Uri Geller

Look into my eyes... the eyes... not around the eyes... and you're under. You WILL buy every item of Uri Geller's over-priced jewellery you see on QVC. 3... 2... 1... and you're back in the room.

Do IW pass on our details?

A few folks are grumbling about Break4Free on the InterWeb, and they were mentioned on the BBC's Money Box programme a few weeks ago: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8566007.stm .

    Curtain Up, Price Down Auction

I'm not so sure. Ideal World launched with no products to sell, then they had the fire, and there's been the appalling customer service and delivery problems. Yet, more than ten years later, they're still there. During that time many other shopping TV channels have come and gone. I've...

    David A on Ideal World

I think he runs on auto-pilot. Light on, no one at home. Dunno what the paint kit he flogs is like, but several people have said the carpet cleaner is is cr*p.

    David A on Ideal World

I think I've seen him on there a few times recently. It could have been another channel, but I'm quite sure it was Ideal World. Always the same old boring patter. It's like watching a robot. I now switch over as soon as he pops up on the screen.
