My new kitchen - Birds of a Feather grey, or The Good Life brown?!

AD, Have you rung the man from Crummetts of Winchester? (he has very flimsy knobs). Are you pondering over distressed teak or pine? A farmhousey feel? You might want to plump for Withys of Totnes. Its £65,000 but they do do the whole thing for you and it's worth it because you never have to...

    Here we go folks...

So she says, but she also loves Elemis and Decleor and Emma Hardie and Sarah Chapman - she simply cannot live without any of their products! She did say on air a while back she buys all the Perricone vitamins and supplements though. Yet she still has breakouts and more crow's feet than...

    Here we go folks...

Jill Franks (hereafter known as Jill.I.Am) is on with Decleor. She's just been extolling the virtues of the Life Radiance moisturiser. Apparently it is her skin saviour and she cannot live without it. Like everything else. She then went on, in the next breath, to say that it wasn't rich enough...

Do any of you like the fashion on QVC

I like Centigrade coats, but am very choosy about the styles I buy. I've had one or two nice bits from Casual and Co that have washed and worn very well. Some Style Inc t-shirts, plain, that are still going strong and they used to do a knitwear range called Modern Soul that was OK, one piece I'm...

    Richard III

For anyone that would like to see the reconstructed face, I managed to get a screen shot of it. I think he looks beautiful. I've been gripped by this as you all have, always been a Ricardian, feeling that although he did do some terrible things, he really was no worse than any of the Tudors...

    help with panda eyes please

Another vote for Blinc, it's aces. But if you're on a tighter budget, look at Make Up Academy online, they do a mascara in a curvy silver tube that's about £2.50 ish and it doesn't smudge on me (and I'm the queen of panda eyes). From QVC I'd recommend Mally too. Very good indeed.

Leighton Denny and "all them top tips"

Leighton's a great guest and I like the colours he does but like others have said they peel right off very quickly. Nails Inc were OK on me but chipped after a day. OPI have best staying power for me, but I use Essie 3 Way Glaze as a top and base coat always. Butttttt have recently tried the...

    LE colour cosmetics

The tinted moisturiser type thing is OK, it actually gives reasonable coverage, BUT, it smells like chip fat and unless you put powder over the top is very shiny looking (on me, at least). In fact I thought the models this aft looked very shiny of face full stop. Other than that I've seen...

    Laura Geller TSV 23/2/13

I said I wouldn't go for the last TSV and did and apart from the eyeshadows have been very pleased with it. I may well take the plunge with this too as I've used her Phenomenal Foundation before and been very impressed with it, with B&B over the top it gives flawless coverage. I'd be interested...

    Put the Ipad down Julia!

Tried to get a screen shot of the tweet and post it. Hope it worked! Kind of ironic the woman tweeted to tell her to stop iPaddying. But Julia handled it well. It just shows you though, people are noticing how much time is being wasted on this kind of thing.

    Supersize you beauty new presenter

I like her a lot. She seems quite assured and confident, she lets others get a word in edgeways and is also interesting to listen to. I also don't have that feeling that she's going to be stuck for something to say or start floundering which makes me cringe with some of the others. Also, quite...

    Statins.

LEL Sorry to hear about this - what a rough time you've had :( My Father takes both Bisoprolol and a statin (he's on Atorvastatin though) after a serious heart attack in 2011. My ex boyfriend who I am still good friends with takes Simvastatin because his cholesterol was up at 8.6. My Dad...

Another corker from the Flint school of selling

This is, as Sazza says, an old trick. I remember her doing it before. Even me, with my GCSE maths fail can work out that it's a load of old tosh. What's worse is that people will fall for it and buy, thinking they're really getting a good deal when they're not at all. Awful tactic.

    Scared Stiff

It was weird. At the end, Micael went to sort of shake Barsehole's hand to close the show out, but Barsehole grabbed hold of his shoulder and wouldn't let go. Poor Micael looked utterly terrified.

What's the most expensive piece of jewellery you've ever bought from QVC?

Great thread AD, been enjoying it! My most expensive QVC jewellery purchase was actually the Ali Young Diamonique ring. It was my first purchase of Eek too. I got it for £50-ish before the price went up. I love it I must say, it's very comfortable to wear. Bizarrely enough, years before I...
