Have you not heard some of the stuff that Lisa Brash comes out with? Her innuendos and smut are just as "bad" as Peter's.

It looks like bid plus has replaced Speed Auction, it's not been on for a while and Lisa Brash has moved to price-drop.

What happened to these days?

It was that best bidding nonsense that ruined the channel for me. Surely rising price auctions would be better for them? We always hear them going on about how they've lost money because the price has gone under the "cost price"

Back when they used to have fun on these channels and when you could actually place a bid on something. I have a clip where Peter Simon sat on a fake Christmas present prop and fell off it splitting his trousers and he spent the rest of the auction trying cover up the hole he made in them.

It was only for a month and they did shift more items when they were on freeview. Now this bid plus nonsense seems to be replacing speed auction with speed auction starting later and later.

I saw a bit of Andy today and he once introduced himself as "the artist formally known as bid-up" then he went on to say "prices used to go up on bid-up, they don't any more and people still call us bid-up too! Don't know why!"

'Bob' was originally a bid-up.tv thing. Andy Hodgson would often refer to Bob as 'Bob the Warehouse' in bid's early days.

They've been trying bid plus since November and that set is in the same studio as speed auction meaning speed auction's set has been reduced drastically in size.

Speed is on from 8pm tonight. I wonder if they'll start to sell things more quicker!
