    Yankee TSV 26/8/13

aww.... love Yankee jars, and would really like to order this TSV, but the price will have to be really good to make it reasonable to buy as the postage to France is over £17 for a set of 3 large jars

QVC - which brands do you still tune in to watch?

it's really interesting to see the replies so far...seems I'm not alone with my favourites! I'll add L'Occitane to my list, though I actually buy from an outlet store when I am back from the UK, and technology occasionally too, and was tempted by the Tomtom TSV a couple of months ago!

QVC - which brands do you still tune in to watch?

We've had various threads along the lines of what products, or presenters, do you miss - but what brands do you still look forward to seeing? I used to stay up regularly until midnight to see the next day's TSV - but in the last couple of years QVC has become less interesting, and I don't buy...

    Kipling TSV 08/06/2013

I have 2 Fairfax bags which I love as I like a smaller bag - so as the Orelie is similar I've ordered the monkey mania now as, being in France and an hour ahead, I doubt I'll manage to stay up until 1am to see the presentation - and if I wait until tomorrow morning I expect the monkey mania will...

    Kipling TSV 08/06/2013

    Kipling TSV 08/06/2013

I agree Rainbowdottie - I visited the Gunwharf Quays outlet store when I was in the UK last month, and was surprised by the price increase in there too. They used to have lots of choice of current popular styles for around £30 - £40, but now they're £40 - £60. Didn't leave empty handed though...

Artscapes Fashion - shape change after washing?

I love colour, and really like some of the designs in these tops - but.... I have bought several in the past, and every single one has stretched horizontally, and shortened considerably when I've washed it - and been completely unflattering and unwearable as a result. Has anyone purchased them...

Which Presenters or guests do you miss?

Anthony and Steve Whatley - neither took themselves too seriously, presented professionally without patronising the viewers, and made their shows enjoyable to watch. Sadly Steve is no longer with us - but QVC could do a lot worse than bring Anthony back, either to present, or pass on his skills...

    Craig Rowe

I like Craig too, his presentation style is easy to watch, and I really don't mind how he spends his own time and money!

Tan accelerator - all information and tips gratefully received

Yes, it is their version of TSV. I also agree that Zhuzh is worth trying, it definitely makes a difference to me, it doesn't have an unpleasant aroma, and as mentioned before is great as you use it on the day when you're sunbathing - no preparation for days, or weeks before :-)

Perils of buying plants from QVC

This is turning into an interesting exchange of views! I'm beginning to feel that we are being conned because QVC do like to sell a lot of the shrubs and more expensive plants bared-rooted and dormant. By the time we are able to realistically judge whether we have been sent healthy viable plants...

    Yankee candles, what's your fave?

Maybe it's lucky for my purse that I travel on the ferry from Caen to Portsmouth.... though if we decide to go via Dover/Eurotunnel anytime I will remember to take a teeny detour! Thanks Dips :-)

Perils of buying plants from QVC

Aahh... I feel so much better now I know I'm not alone! lol RJ always tries to tempt us by extolling the virtues of the rare or new varieties, and the price.... but that's no good if they turn up their toes within a season! I'm sticking to buying my plants where I can choose my own quality...

Perils of buying plants from QVC

I have, in the past, ordered a few plants from QVC, especially TSV's, but although I have a lovely garden and am confident with plantcare - I am very disappointed at the quality of plants I have received. To be fair, I haven't complained to QVC because by the time I accept they really have...

    Craft outlet

I just wish QVC has risen to the challenge from Create and Craft and changed their format with craft to a more inclusive crafting session showcasing the products, rather than sticking to their item by item sales pitch, and to source better products at great prices...because I've noticed that...

    Yankee candles, what's your fave?

Another fun thread! I think we tend to have favourites of a 'type', and for me it's the fresh and lighter florals, so I love Garden Hideaway, Loves Me Loves Me Not, Water Garden, Lilac Blossom, Honeysuckle, Beach Flower and Ocean Blossom. I like the idea of some of the foodie aroma's, but many...

Kipling fans- what's the best bag?

Great topic! My first Kipling bag was the Morrissey which was a QVC TSV, and came with the small make-up bag, and it's such a comfortable shoulder bag that I bought another in a lovely aubergine colour at the outlet store at Gunwharf Quays - but it doesn't seem to be available anymore. In the...

Which QVC skincare ranges would tou recommend?

Great thread, I'm enjoying your postings! I didn't use any moisturisers until my 40's because those I tried 'off the shelf' irritated my skin, and generally I didn't like the scents either - so when I started watching QVC the idea of being able to try was appealing. So I've tried many brands...
