The description “wearable “

I know - surely logically every item of apparel sold on QVC is 'wearable', even if it looks utterly ridiculous.

I think it's just another stupid euphemism for 'this item piece looks vaguely normal, like you might see on someone nipping between Waitrose and the dry cleaners. In other words, it's less likely to make you look like a ***, or have someone say 'ooh, what have you come as?'

yes just another stupid euphemism, I despair sometimes at the intelligence of people telling us this rubbish and I am beginning to wonder if they are trained to give such descriptions.
Absolutely… I’m just wondering how a “size “ is wearable … Christmas plonk must have been started in tbe staff room lol

Are the strappy sandals being sold today with the party clothes wearable? Most of them are very pretty. The models and Ruth Langsford are wearing them with bare legs. Surely they are not wearable in December. Or, do women wear boots and leggings and change into the sandals once they arrive at the party? Wearing sheer tights would spoil the look of the sandals around the toe area.

If you really listen to the majority of presenters they histogram s***e imo. They all pretend to be knowledgeable on everything they flog and go on and on about nothing at all. It used to be good watching, give if take, no longer though.
Apologies, predictive text!! Should read:

All for show. Warm socks and comfy shoes much more "wearable".
But would you wear socks and comfy shoes with the sparkling dresses, skirts and trousers? One model was wearing black, sheer tights with red, flat shoes. Much more wearable. So, you're right. The strappy sandals are just for show (and to sell them for next summer.). Covered, pretty shoes and sheer tights are realistic.

To answer your question Grizelda, it's the sparkling dresses, skirts and trousers I wouldn't be wearing.
The so-called Party Season comes and goes, passing me by on the way.

Strapping sandals not wearable by me. I’d fall a over t in them and I hate bare feet anyway. it really pisses me off when the silly mares keep complaining they feel the cold when they’re wearing strappy sandals, spaghetti strap tops, short skirts and no tights/socks. I think I heard Alex say the other day that she has her thermostat set to 25! Crikey if it’s that hot in the summer I have my fans on. Anything above 20 is hot to me. Dread to think what her heating bill is.

I know a lot of elderly people and those with health problems would need warmer temperatures.

If I would be invited to a party, I'd (politely, I hope) decline. So, I'm with you on that. Although I'm on my own, I dress up a little bit on Christmas Day, but no sequins. I bought a velour lounge wear set in 'the colour of the season'. I only know that burgundy is the colour of the season because QVC fashionistas keep saying it. I didn't know when I bought the set!

I do like sequins but in moderation. I have a red lace top with a few red sequins scattered on it and also a black jumper that has narrow black sequin stripes on.

I don’t think dressed in 100% sequinned trousers together with matching top would suit a tubby, short grey haired lady of 74 years old like me🤣

Do Q usually go as full-on with sequins and sparkles as they're doing this year?
They had a Malissa J show on last night with a whole load of sparkly shapeless sacks which were worn with different things including sprkly trousers. It's overkill, imo.
That and the glittery TSV from Ruth the previous day. How many sparkly clothes dies anyone need?
It's the same in the dreaded high street... so I'm guessing it's supposed to be to cheer everyone up from the cost of living crisis or something. I feel I need sunglasses on before looking at clothing at the moment.
It's not even December and I'm already entering bah humbug! season 🤯

I entered bah humbug season in June 🤣🤣

I heard (I wasn't really watching) someone on telly this week say that glitter had been removed from a range as it's bad for the environment.

Aren't all those sequins bad for the environment, too? I'm just wondering when Stop Oil or whoever will start throwing paint over people wearing them.

I hope not, I'd best get the meths ready, love a bit of sparkle this time of year!!
