Conflicting information on demo and instruction leaflet

We ordered a JML Spin Scrubber. The instructions inside the pack say it needs an initial 8 hour charge, then to recharge takes 6 hours. That's ridiculous because not even the lawnmower needs that long or would cost that much to charge. However, I watched the demo by Ann Dorrington and Debbie Flint where Ann Dorrington says it takes one hour to charge, and there was no mention of an initial 8-hour charge, so which is it? One hour, six or eight? If it is one, why can't JML put proper information in its pack? Is it just covering all the bases or what? If it is six or eight, who's going to sit around watching to make sure it's safe recharging all that time and why does the demo say just one?

Either way, I can't be sure so back it goes.

Update - QVC have sent me a free returns label for Evri collection, because Customer Services said it's too heavy to take to the Post Office, and didn't mention the information issue. What would happen if it was a small item that I could carry to the Post Office, I don't know. So much hassle, time and expense because of conflicting information. I don't know who's right or wrong but what I do know is that because of it, everybody loses out.

Always read the label. That means me, you, JML and QVC.

I ordered the JML scrubber which is due for delivery today. I, like Mina, bought it on the basis of the one hour charge as stated on the live demonstration. I don’t have a problem with the eight hour initial charge but do with the 6 hour recharge.

I might decide to get QVC to collect as incorrect info given.

Also ordered a Kipling Felix bag, that was delivered yesterday. When I checked the bag, there is no key fob inside. If you’ll pardon the pun, that’s a key point of me buying Kipling bags. Again no mention of this fact during the demo. Incorrect info by omission. I can probably buy something that’ll keep my keys attached to bag but it’s an extra expense.

Both above ordered during the free p&p promotion.

I've just watched the Felix demo, and they do actually mention no key fob about one minute in from the beginning. But like you, I buy or used to buy Kipling bags mainly for the key fob, so why they don't put them in now, I have no idea. Probably to save on production costs, which is silly because so many of us buy Kipling because of the key fob. You're best off buying one of the older models on ebay or somewhere that does sell a bag with a key fob and shows it actually in the bag so you save on the new price.

Battiola, both Mr M and I read 6 and 8 hours on the instruction sheet we got, but maybe we were given the wrong information sheet so check yours first. It seems odd there was such a discrepancy.

I had a look online and most say 8 hour initial charge then 6 hours to recharge. It appears the run time is up to one hour which I don’t think was mentioned either.

Here's the demo while the link is still valid: link to QVC site.

The information about one hour charging is at 4.40 minutes and you can just about hear Ann Dorrington say "takes about an hour to charge" and seems to be trying to say "and then you get an hour...." but we'll never know for sure if AD was going to say "an hour's run time" or whatever because DF interrupts, "Do you get the cord?" which AD then answers instead.
