Paying four figures?

It's 4.23 pm and Lindsay has just told us that we could expect to pay four figures for a silver bangle. Yeah, for what's on the screen I'd pay £10.00 but that's about it, but they're asking £99.99 (she reckons the right price is £199.00) . At Van Cleef and Arpels, apparently you could pay £18,000. You could, Lindsay....but I wouldn't. £10.00's my final offer, sorry.

Every day, another claim. Pretty enough bracelet, but the extravagant claims are just ridiculous.

Not only that, but the one she was comparing to was 18k gold with diamonds.

Hers was Silver with less than 1ct of Zircon.............

Just minor details, in the Wonderful World of Gemporia. Why on earth would you want 18K gold + diamonds, when you could have about ten quid's worth of silver + tiny zircons? Not much difference at all. I can only think she either can't read, so cannot see she's comparing apples with pears, or she's deliberately being obtuse - surely not the latter?

Let's see, If I could afford image 2, I might pass: not quite my taste And that doesn't mean I'd get image 1 either. If I wanted something like that, I have a mirror But silliness aside. Tooooooooo fond of equating brass with platinum, Gems, as it were.
