Don’t forget to tick the box for gift boxes etc, I forgot! They are complimentary.Just spotted this! I got an email today saying they have free postage so when I get back from a short outing I must investigate further.
Thanks for the heads up.
You are not alone…. I have enough for at least 18 months and I know I will buy the Christmas TSV…. But what bargains this time!I just can’t justify paying their prices any more, even with 30% or so off. It would be different if I actually needed the stuff but I have years’ worth in my cupboard (I joke about it but I really do have a silly amount). To be fair, there are a few items in the sale this time that are very well reduced (unlike their sales the last year or two), eg the hand washes at £11 and shower gels at £12.50, and I’ll admit I did add a few to my basket earlier, but then I looked at my dreaded list of what I already have, saw sense and emptied my basket. I can’t say I found that easy because I used to love finding MB bargains and would have been looking forward to the delivery, but I’ve got to draw the line somewhere. A sad day for me but may you all get great joy from your purchases!
We just can’t help ourselves, can we?You are not alone…. I have enough for at least 18 months and I know I will buy the Christmas TSV…. But what bargains this time!
October is the xmas one with the minis (if they do the same again) & then a 4 piece top up one aftrerI ordered at 3.30 yesterday and it told me it would be normal delivery as I had missed the free next day cut off. But it came at 10.30 this morning! Hurrah. I got 2 shower gels and 2 body lotions. I have real trouble finding DHS body lotions which sink in properly so don’t mind paying for MB. After using numerous brands I have sort of settled on Aveeno (or M&S if I remember to go there) but am happy to get MB in a sale.
Is the next MB TSV the Christmas one (or should that be 2 with the little one following the large one with the minis)?
I don’t know about Lily & Magnolia Blossom as those particular floral notes are high on my hate list, but Pettigree Dew is nice, what I’d call “inoffensive” - I know that’s not a ringing endorsement but it’s just a light, fresh/clean scent which has a slight hint of “ocean”. It won’t blow your head off or linger for hours but if you don’t know someone’s tastes, you can’t go wrong with it, for example (unless you’re buying for candycane as I now see below!)I just posted this in Big Deals thread but then found this one so thought I would post here too in case more appropriate sorry!
Oh no, been led astray again!
This time to the Molton Brown sale..!
Not for me, I’m not a fan - well the one occasion I was given a bottle of theirs (a champagne shimmer Christmas limited edition?), it was beautiful but couldn’t believe the price!
The others of my mum’s minis sets, I’ve smelt were nice, sure, but couldn’t accept prices..!
I do know that my SIL loves it and possibly one of my good friends so would be good for pressies.
Has anyone smelt or knows Pettigree Dew or Lily & Magnolia Blossom?!
Both well reduced and sound nice but no idea at all!
Also Heavenly Gingerlily got a lot of negative comments, why isn’t it liked?!
Nice! The shampoos are lovely. I suppose I could have bought some shampoo.Didn't like Pettigree Dew at all - very sweet smelling and I found it a bit icky. Gave it away. When I first tried Gingerlily years ago I loved it but people bought it for me every birthday and Christmas and I got fed up with it. Now it's not my favourite.
I ordered a bit from MB own website and got some shampoo for £7 which will do for a present and another one for £9 which might be for me. I got a handcream for £8 which is still extravagant and a handwash for £11 and shower gel for £12.50. I got a free sample of perfume, a free gift box and free delivery. I can justify it by saying I am down to my last shower gel and that's half used. I used to be like everyone and buy buy buy MB but I don't need a cupboard full of it.

Tell him the dog found it.I only bought all that as I was getting it delivered free. You wouldn't pay £7 then postage on top. Have to hide it all from Mr CC though

The dog is useless at finding things, even hidden biscuits. Mr CC however, is King Snoop. Not much gets by himTell him the dog found it.
I have found that with many of them - notably Rhubarb & Rose, Orange & Bergamot, Coco & Sandalwood and to a lesser extent, Lime & Patchouli. They either seem to change or I get sick of them. I have to have a break and they come out again in a month or two. Sometimes they get relegated to the downstairs loo where I wash my rubber gloves so it’s not on my skin! Oh dear, what a waste of expensive product!I wasn’t that keen on Pettigree Dew, I went off it as I used it. It wasn’t horrible but not inspiring.
I am using Lily & Magnolia at the moment. It’s a very pretty floral and not at all heady. I’ve also got Milk Musk on the go but I find it very, very sweet.
