Diamond reset.

Odd title, but still. Can't think of a place to put this, so here I go again. Earlier, Hattie was diamond-ing. And she mentioned they'd be sending back diamonds to Jaipur to reset them, and when they come back the cost would go up. So, my question. If you have loose diamonds, that I agree with, I suppose. But, if they are already set in a metal, and that involves the metal being melted down, does that not keep the cost of the setting down too? If they set silver diamonds into gold, and then gold diamonds into platinum, surely you'd have some metal to 'play with'?

It's all nonsense. Jess Foley said something similar the other week saying the items she had would only appear once on her show and then they were going to be melted down.

Surprise surprise, they were in a week later and they're still showing on their website.
