When to chuck out foundation

Ok so I have a prized bottle of Chanel Vitalumiere foundation which is very expensive. My husband brought it back duty free after a trip to NZ 2 years ago! I did not open it immediately-it has been open about 18 months (it's a pump bottle) and it has about a centimeter left in the bottom. The consistency and smell is fine, but lately I have come out in spots on my chin and down the sides of my nose despite having a good cleansing and skincare routine. Should I bin the last bit of my foundation?

Hard one. I usually go by smell and it has separated, in fact I had a bottle of Armani for about 4 years and it was still fine. Never broke out from foundation, I use a primer so whether works as a barrier???

Have you any other foundation? Give it a use and if you still break out then it could be hormones, changing weather or something in your cleansing breaking you out.
