It appears now that we have to have a large designer bag with all but the kitchen sink in it and then have a small designer bag to decant (in the words of Lu's mini me) our bits into when we want to go to the shop/bank/coffee shop.

I am not totally against the concept but it is kinda of getting beyond a joke this designer double up. I think most of us have a mid size bag and a shopper if we need to carry extra to/from work but at a couple of hundred squid each? A reasonably priced M&S shopper is good enough for me!

My goodness-I had no idea I was trendy!

I've been doing this for years - I have a purse (coins, cards, receipts) and then I slip my phone inside it and clip on my car keys. That is everything I must have.

Then I have a proper handbag that it goes inside.

Only the purse, phone and keys (all attached) come with me on a dog walk, or down to the shop.

Makes it very easy to switch bags too.
