Tess Daly

Everything flew out but looking on the website it’s all still available apart from one colour option on one pair of earrings. I quite fancied a ring but the size small was an N 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was so disappointed that it was just base metal costume jewellery. I immediately knew as it didn’t state that it was sterling silver so that was me out as I can only tolerate precious metals on my skin due to allergies. I think they have cheapened the entire range by using non precious metals as it’s just not the same.

Some quite pretty pieces, but agree with Ostrichkeeper, it’s just cheap costume jewellery, you can get similar in diamonique at around the same prices ( maybe a bit cheaper!) and , of course, it’s sterling silver. It was selling quickly, but this happens whenever a ‘sleb’ introduces a new range of jewellery, which they like us to believe that they’ve toiled for months designing for us. I should imagine that they only have a smaller amount of stock to begin with, a) to test the water, and b);to make it look as though it’s super popular, so hopefully people will believe the hype, and buy again at the next airing. How many other slebs have launched a jewellery collection in a blaze of glory, ride the crest of the wave for a while, then disappear for ever. That seems to be the pattern, and I expect Tess Daley will follow it!

I had a look at this online and only saw a few minutes of the presentation one which was a layered necklace costing about £70? I think it is overpriced and brass? No thanks, like stainless steel I would never buy.I am sure there are similar offerings out there much cheaper. How long will this last as a range on QVC?

Simon Wilson gets away with it because he is already well known for his jewellery, and has had a quite famous shop for donkeys years! Although not to my taste, he’s built up good business and profile, so he trades on the back of that. I believe his earlier pieces were of good quality, and very collectible, although the stuff he sells now maybe not so. Tess Daley is just a tv presenter, nothing to do with design or jewellery, just trying to jump on the bandwagon of QVC (or anything else, as Strictly is having a rough ride at the moment!)

She did a catalogue range. I remember some of the tabloids outraged as she wore something from it one Saturday night on Strictly.

Seems happy not to push her face on every panel show Loose Women etc, just does Strictly and that is it. I know on another forum people say she should be dropped from Strictly in favour of a male such as Stephen Mulhern (by the way, he is a total ****.). But the job is not to be all about them, just there to introduce the next couple to stand with them in front of the judges. Move things along, and that is what she does. She is harmless.

Mulhern filmed a reality show at a friend's garage, and he was so rude and entitled when the cameras stopped

I actually like her very much on Strictly, she does a good job, and I think having two female presenters works well. Hope it doesn’t end badly with all the bad publicity, it’s one of the few shows I enjoy, not (yet!) taken over with the ‘all about meeee’ so called attention seeking reality stars, who I’ve never heard of, trying to be outrageous .

Maybe just a one off.

Agree SW and his brand have a long history.I remember his shop in South Molton St. as far back as the 1960/70’s when his ‘lizard’ pins were all the rage,I bought a small one & still have it.Since then I have bought a few pieces, they come out from time to time, one necklace admired last year will get another airing this Christmas! Many of his offerings shown on QVC are not to my taste but I recently bought a pearl necklace & some earrings (very rash of me) intending to return, the necklace is lovely, a keeper. The earrings I did return, they were lovely too but just didn’t suit me.So I do put him in a different category to some TV personality who will ‘tick their likes/ throw in some ideas’ & put their name to a range. Not mentioning anyone who does the same to their fashion brand?!
