Russia has discovered a new diamond field with "trillions of carats" of diamonds.

Not sure which forum to post this in, but seeing as TJC seem to do a lot of diamond pieces, it might fit in here.

This may be of some interest to you all - Russia has just revealed that there's a diamond field containing "trillions of carats" of diamonds - enough to last 3,000 years - beneath an asteroid crater.

I'm not sure if this'll do anything to the prices, but there's one thing for sure - there probably won't be that many supply issues for the next little while!

Diamonds have never been in limited supply (they're mined all over the world) and their distribution/selling is strictly controlled by a group who regulate prices (to a certain extent) so unfortunately, I doubt whether this will have any effect on prices in general. I hope I'm wrong but don't think so.
