Initially the programs will mainly be pre-recorded, and will feature a wide range of amazingly low priced Gold and Silver gemstone jewellery.<br /><br />Sarah Bennett, one of the company’s joint founders told shoppingtelly.com “throughout December we will offer customers the ability to obtain our beautiful designs at prices we believe have never been seen before on shopping television, especially for fine jewellery”.<br /><br />Rocks TV is a totally independent family owned UK jeweller and is not associated with any other high street retailer or other shopping channels.

Oooo, that's news!

Will the TV programmes be completely independent of the web broadcast? One of the things that makes Rocks TV so great is the interactivity with the chat box, being able to request items online, etc. It would be hard to do this on the TV...

I reckon, if it's pre-recorded and on 24 hours a day, it'll have to be items selling at fixed prices
.... rather like CR with videos rather than just pics on the web.

Maybe ... or maybe not, I dunno :D

Well done to the Bennett's and their team!

I wish them all the very best of luck with this venture and I am sure all of us who are able will tune in to see what the channel is like.

RocksTV on TV!!

Here is thetext of an email from The Bennets at Rocks:

Dear customers,

Firstly let me be one of the first to wish you a very merry Christmas. With your support, over the past two years Rocks TV has established itself as the world’s first “Internet only live broadcast auction site” and we would like to thank you for contributing to this success. We are pleased to announce that in January we will be taking the same shows that you watch online and broadcasting them simultaneously on digital television throughout the UK.

Prior to this exciting launch, from the 1st of December you will be able to see some amazing fixed price jewellery offers 24 hours a day on Sky Channel 647.

On our internet site very little will actually change, there will still be the chat room, there will still be the same entertaining presenters but most importantly of all, the deals and offers will be even better than before.

At the same time as switching on our TV channel we will also be moving all software programming in house. In the short term this may mean that we are unable to handle requests in the current manner and will also mean that we have to temporarily suspend different ring size options over the web (you will still be able to request different sizes by phone). In the long term this will resolve many of the issues that some seem to experience when trying to log onto our site, as well as provide you with a host of new and exciting features.

We look forward to the next year and all the fun it will bring!

Steve, John and Sarah Bennett

So, you see that anyone wishing to stick with the Web site and WebFeed will be able to do that, while there will also, soon, be the opportunity for Sky viewers to enjoy the channel on TV ..... Best of all worlds, I reckon, and great congratulations for the Bennet Tema for being on top of their game with this project! Well done, good luck, and I'm looking forward to being abel to watch on TV insterad of a squiify web feed that I have now!!

Well done, and Merry Christams to Steve, Sarah and John, too, since that was hoew they started their message!! Good luck to those Sailing Bennets, also!!:D

So with 24 hours does that mean it will kick off midnight tonight, anyone know?
I will endeavour to stay up if it does, don't have any means to record it though.

Thanks.

Just had checked my emails and got this news simultaneously. :)

Very good luck to Rocks.TV in this expanding venture. My thoughts are still with those four
fearless sailors in the mid Atlantic!

Thirdly.. Safe sailing to all the Bennett men!

Lastly...Boo hoo "I don't have sky either!..never mind at least it still going to be on the website...

"Congratulations once more!

Mirabelle xx

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the good wishes.

As is always the way with these things, we've got a few little technical hitches.

So from midnight we will only have a limited amount of content which will just feature our Lorique collection. Tomorrow we should get some more collections on air and by the end of the week we should have our full range of fixed-price content up and running.

As we've said in the email, we'll be bringing the full interactivity of our web auction to Sky in January.....

Kind regards

John

Thank you John, I will try hard to stay up until midnight, might be difficult having had a 3 year old here today and over tonight.

Now you know me, never was one to say "I told you so" but I dunnit again didn't I?
I don't know how I do it but I did it again just now, I knew I was going to say that - weird or what?
Next time I'm in my head I'll ask it who are its sources. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D10%252F10%255F1%255F138%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_138.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D10%252F10_1_138%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

I wish you so much luck and success guys. xxxxxxxx

Can you still hold items in your shopping basket for the same length of time? (question from a friend)

I hope this doesn't have any effect on your CS or the standards of jewellery.

I wish you all the best for this exciting new venture.

Hi Yazrose,

Yes you can still hold items in your basket for the same number of days

As far as customer service goes, we are a family business who are dedicated to having great CS.

Good CS, along with great quality jewellery and fab prices will remain our mission always

Best Regards

Sarah
