Returning an item

Can someone please help with returning an item. I have not done this before and don't want to run into problems with their 30 day return rule. I bought an item which has an invoice date of 15/5 which was a Saturday. I can't remember when I received it though.

If it has to be returned within 30 days, does that mean that they have to receive it back within the 30 days? If I returned it Monday, would I still be within the allowed time to return it?

Hope I'm explaining this properly so it makes sense to someone else!

There is a return by date on the packing slip this is usually a couple of days after the order date to allow for how long it took to get to you.
