He is selling a mirror, says you will find this in National Trust homes LOL
I just heard that too, Jazzy! He really is something else… In the space of less than 60 seconds he says of the mirror….
  • “It’s of a Victorian style” - nope, it was a modern, geometric design. Not remotely Victorian.
  • “The frame is cast iron” - nope, it’s made of aluminium.
  • “You’ll see these in the most luxury (!) of National Trust stately homes” - nope, no you most definitely wouldn’t.
What a d*ckhead. How the hell do they get away with this crap?

Lying tw*t

He apparently saw this food mixer at the ‘National Homes Exhibition’ at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre’ this year. That’s interesting because that building closed in 2014. Scrote…Great illustrative demonstration, too. Thumping an empty plastic container. Bare minimum work. Maximum hysteria and misinformation.

He only has a small area he says, then in the next breath he's going to buy the massive parasol. I'm sure someone found his address on the list of IW creditorse, and his house is worth quite a lot. Not the hovel he would have you believe.
There is only one house in the post code given on the ideal Shopping direct list.

Obviously likes his privacy, some hedge, do IW sell hedge trimmers? :ROFLMAO:

Clearance Carnival still on, Christmas chopping boards, £35 says Pedro, selling for £7.99. Muriel bought one of course. They were flimsy as fu*k. Looks like he's got the "stone" garden creatures coming up. When will this cavalcade of tat end?
They should rename the channel to Clearance Carnival, that's the most honest they have been. Everyday is a clearance 'carnival'

Do they neither realise nor care how shabby and downmarket the whole clearance thing looks. Running a clearance sale almost on a permanent basis now. Some sort of tea in plastic sachets he’s selling this morning. Telling us that we could pay £25 elsewhere for these items. There are so desirable a consignment of them have been received by shopping channel to shift at £7:99. I’ll Be Honest With You, he says. Don’t, Peter. Just stay the way you are. It’s more amusing with the hysterical ******** you spout. His final four hours of clearance….Again…
This is partly why I'd love to know how much revenue and profit IW is generating. Although we poke fun and hold them to account on here, perhaps from a business perspective the model is working?

Not defending them for one sec, however they are salespeople. As we know, people involved in sales can have morals etc, or not. I think we know what end of the spectrum these lot are at. And much of this comes from the business itself i.e. those running the show so-to-speak.

I worked in car sales for a brief period when I was younger. One of the other salespeople was often the top seller week on week. I wasn't! He gave me some advice one day along these lines ...

'Just get them to sign on the dotted line. Don't concern yourself if you think the car's maybe a bit beyond their means, just get them to sign. If we see the car coming back in as a repossession x months down the line, who cares?'

Needless to say a career in car sales wasn't for me!

I also knew of a car dealer who had a Lada/Skoda franchise back in the day when Skoda weren't considered good cars. He told punters he wouldn't drive anything other than a Skoda. What they didn't see was the Merc parked around the back ;)

Smoke, mirrors and bullsh1t. It's the essence of sales and what many of these channels are, including the presenters.
