Talking of the prizes, anyone seen some of the re-runs of 'Bullseye'? Some of the 1980's 'prizes' were so awful that even the studio audience laughed back then! The contestants were in pairs, so when they won a washing machine, say, I used to wonder if it was split down the middle by someone with a chainsaw?

Always made me laugh when the winners got a speedboat and lived in the Midlands. Can’t remember what quiz show it was but remember one couple lived in a flat and won a greenhouse!

Sadly not, but I can't remember what the words were, I've expunged them from my memory

He was brilliant on the radio show, “Just a minute” too. I think he presented it for over. 50 years.

Oh yes, I'd forgotten. He had one of those voices you recognised straight away when you heard it.

I do wonder why that should be......or perhaps I don't. Can you imagine him on something like 'Bullseye'? 'Not only a set of glasses and a decanter, not only a tricycle for the kiddies, etc. etc.' I know where my darts would be aimed....I'd even give up the chance of a fondue set for that.

I am of the opinion, and have been for 'ever', never trust a person who is constantly smiling. Seeing PS walk in for his show put me in mind of a cross between a clown and an ex-UK PM. Creepy. People, in my opinion who constantly smile have something to hide.
