I had a similar thing happen with a pair of Skechers shoes. QVC phoned early this morning (Sunday!) to tell me that the courier had received an empty packet instead of shoes. It wasn't explained if that was an error in QVC's warehouse, the item fell out of a badly sealed bag or if the courier had nicked it. Let's face it, given problems in the past, any one of these scenarios is possible. The lady on the phone was polite and friendly but, in the end, all she could do was offer to place another order, for which I'd have to wait another week or so. No hint of getting it done quickly for the sake of the customer. Oh no, QVC wouldn't want to spend a bit extra for goodwill would they? In the end, it's their loss as I've cancelled the order. I notice it still goes down on my account as a return though. They won't assume responsibility for anything will they? Similar things have happened with other companies in the past - it happens - but they all have bent over backwards to make sure the missing item was replaced as quickly as possible. QVC is the only place that really doesn't give a damn.
