Watched a bit of the food programme today, without Andy Peters who was" in makeup??'( Also, Dale introduced the programme saying AP , a gourmand !!!šŸ˜‚ would join later on - a gourmand!!!!) Anyway, there was a cheese offer, I think from the Mouse House. 3 x 100 g cheese trucklesfor Ā£11.95 plus postage and packing of Ā£5.95!! Half the cost again of the item. So 300 g of cheese costs Ā£17.90. Who on earth would buy that? Ā£5.96 for 100g of bog standard cheese. incredible pricing.

All the supermarkets do those truckle cheeses at Christmas in all different kinds of flavours and they are never more than a couple of pounds each (and no postage). Q's food prices are scandalous and then they have the cheek to charge huge postage on top. Have a look at the prices of their drinks as well - no one in their right mind would buy them.

Agree Candy, I'd love to know if they sold many. I mean, almost Ā£6 for 4 ozs of cheese! That's got to be on a par with Harrods prices surely. I buy a really good vintage cheddar, strength 7, Davidstow , from Aldi for Ā£2.69 for around 270g.
As for the cocktails they sell, no thanks. Reviews aren't that good. Yet again totally overpriced for what they are.

Tesco have 100gram Truckles for Ā£1.25 each. On special 2 for Ā£2 clubcard price until 23 December. They also have a 300 gram Tesco Finest Cheddar for Ā£3.50 not on special plus other flavours.

Iā€™ll probably include a couple of the special price ones in my next regular home delivery. Stopped buying the big boxes of biscuits for cheese and just buy a packet of Cornish wafers.

Just spotted some in their 3 for 2 deli offer too.
