Posh poppies

Got mine yesterday from M&S £15 and no P&P that will do for me. Thanks marks and sparkes.

I'd rather spend direct with the British Legion though... all profits direct to them.

Aslong as people buy and wear a poppy doesn't matter where its from IMO.

I think it does matter because there are two issues:

1. to show remembrance
2. to raise funds for the British Legion - which is where the vendor is important.

If everyone bought from a vendor that only donated 10% or if they chose to wear the same poppy each year without a donation then the charitable work of the BL would be impossible to achieve.

I think it matters too as I'd much prefer to know that ALL of my money goes where it's needed without anyone else taking a cut. BL every time for me.

I think Autumn is right. Even if someone bought a paper poppy every year for 15 twenty years it's the same as buying a posh one from the Royal British legion, wearing it for a few years til the pin falls off then replace it. Plus there are other ways to donate such as collection boxes and other items. I bought poppy cufflinks for my husband.

The heart and intention is there so I am sure the RBL would be glad whatever kind of poppy is worn.
