Evening all - I‘m a longtime forum ‘lurker’ and first time poster so ‘hello’! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Was just channel hopping and happened upon posh Peony Julie and her infamous peddling of flaaaars. Gadzooks - what’s she done to her face?! She’s definitely seen the sharp end of a few injectables recently 💉💉 It also seems to have rendered her neck even more concertina-like than usual (i.e that affected, cutesy head-tilting and hunching she does).

I‘m sure she’s a lovely woman but by God, she rips my knitting! All that simpering, exaggerated caressing of her delicate stems and knock-kneed fawning - give me strength, lady ☺️☺️☺️

Right, glad I’ve got that off my chest....and delighted to have finally joined the fold of this great forum 🥰

Welcome HITC enjoy your time on here, its good fun with a lot of humour.

Peony Julie has taken some stick over the years, but I always like her frocks. She may have been botoxed to within an inch of her life, but she could start to look older than her years if she develops a dowagers hump with all that hunching up she does. As for her products, well, she certainly saw a gap in the market for getting her flaaaaars on qvc, as no-one before has gone down the faux flaaaars route for selly telly.

Ahhh she seems like a nice lady ...not keen on the quality of her FLAAARS though
They always bang on about how no one could tell that they're fake, the quality and attention to detail's so good. I've never been tempted because I just don't like the idea of flowers that you have to dust. To me the whole idea of having flowers in the house is to have a lovely (temporary) seasonal display, and if you're lucky a beautiful subtle aroma. Can't see the point in spraying artificial scent on artificial flowers either, as I've heard her suggest. I know that they have some kind of recognition from the horticultural society, but having seen them in the flesh (in the Homesense store) I couldn't actually see quite why, as they looked no more real that the non branded flaaaars they were selling. I will put my hand up to owning a fake green plant perched on the end of my bookshelf in the hallway, along with a small brass ornament, and with the books, it looks pretty smart. If you look up really close you can see it isn't real, but it's in a nice pot, so no sign of fake water, or no water (another give away). The difference with plants as opposed to flowers is that one expects them to be a permanent fixture, so if you've got the same vase of flowers on display day in day out...not only does it come pretty obvious they're fake...I'm sure you'd get bored of them. Not for me!

I've got a couple of the sweet peas in ceramic jugs which I keep in the caravan but they do collect dust. They were inexpensive though, I'd never pay hundreds for them.

My first faux flowers were from Bloom, but have one from Peony.I obviously prefer real but in the case of my fern arrangement if real it wouldn’t last a week.My Best Buy was 4 cactus from Lidl which I have re potted once & have in a line on my windowsill. They just need a drop of water now and again, hence their survival.
Re Julia’s frocks, I imagine they cost a lot but she is a tall & always looks as though she has grown out of them, for some reason always makes me think of Alice in Wonderland.

I bought a few Peony flowers but on the whole they are not all that great.Sold them on eBay I love Phals and other orchids and through trial and error I am really good at growing them and getting them to reflower so no need for fake that looks fake

They don't ship to Northern Ireland and I have never ever liked fake flowers.
I love flowers that have a smell and hate that most roses now sold have none.
I’m with you all the way Donna. We once went to the lauded Lady Dixon park and were bitterly disappointed as not one rose had a fragrance.

It only takes a few blooms of the right sort to fill the whole garden.

Faux flowers from a faux lady won’t be on my shopping list .

I love that she can rhyme flowers with vase! Had a quick look at some of her vids and one I could've swore she made peonies sound like she'd missed out the o and the second e! Then I choked on my tea when she said we've got these amazing floppy peonies and then called them creamy white..OMG. You've gotta love her! Item no.811763 about 49 seconds in. Yes, ok I know I'm exaggerating but when I first heard her say it, I couldn't hear it any other way and then after listening again I heard the floppy bit!

Welcome headintheclouds!

Welcome to this fab forum HITC :) I had a look at her from yesterday & then found an older presentation; I'd say she's no stranger to fillers & must have had a recent top up. I think she's quite odd, the reverse of a little girl dressing up in mummy's clothes.
