New Presenters

I've heard on the grapevine that a few new presenters are joining bid over the next few weeks.

If the info I have is correct, Jean Luc has jumped ship from TJC and is moving to bid, Rob Lamarr from SuperCasino is joining, Keith (Price?) from TJC and a couple of others as well.

Should be interesting to see how they all fit in, and how much BS they've been trained to say - but I'm guessing it means that there are going to be fewer freelance slots again for some of the more enjoyable presenters.

Jean Luc - hope hes been training for this ,he was so slow on TJC , his voice would send anyone to sleep! should IMO make voice relaxation tapes to help people sleep or jackanory [i know a while ago now] but we all loved the show as kids.:cheeky:

Saw a few of the 10 minute screen tests this morning - Ayla stood out as the best of the new presenters, so far - she wasn't full of bullshit, didn't shout, and managed to sell all of the products without the need for a timer.

Mark Ryes is standing on the podium with Ayla - that's how he looks so tall!

I've liked Rob LaMarr whenever I've seen him on Supercasino so I hope he'll be pretty good on this. Caught a bit of some chap called Johnno this morning, and first impressions weren't the best.

Keith Price used to present one of the rip off quiz shows on Hallmark Channel a few years ago the ones where you phoned in and never got through and had no chance of guessing the answer... so you know he will fit in well. My one memory of him was he came on the show one lunchtime dressed as a gladiator and presented the whole show dressed in this get up with most of his legs and thighs exposed. He thinks he is funny but believe you me he is not.

Like certain other Sit Up presenters (mentioning no names *cough* Paul Evers *cough* Chris Birkett).

From what I've seen today, there was some chap called Ben who was very good and also one of the women (is it Aylo) the one with the unique name anyway. Some guy called Alistair called Paul Evers 'Phil' in the handover, and I caught some Scottish woman (who despite being easy on the eye) was struggling quite badly and didn't even introduce herself when selling the items and didn't give her name when signing off.

Keith is typical shopping channel/quiz/travel channel fodder believe me you will turn over within five minutes he has this annoying smile and most of all he is smarmy.

As he has done the quiz channels he will be full of baloney and know the speak to get people to ring he will have no quarms about saying anything to get you to call he is typical bid shopping presenter.

I can guarantee no one on here will like him.
