When mine arrives it may have to be left with a neighbour.

Can anyone who's received this item please let me know how it was packed eg cardboard box, plastic bag, etc?

I’ve bought it anyway. Thought it looked very handy for my huge garden of heavy clay. My dad’s old tools were never stainless steel but lasted him a lifetime, just used to rub an oily rag over the metal bits before storing them.

I relented and bought it as well because my soil is also clay. The smaller tool will be used for weeding.
Can either of you answer my question above please, assuming that it has arrived?

It arrived in a long thin cardboard box. The small tool was in a plastic bag and secured to the shaft of the spade. It wasn’t heavy.

I’ve only used the small tool so far and, in my opinion, it’s brilliant. It went into the soil with no trouble and I planted two small plants with it. When the shrubs that I’ve ordered arrive then I’ll be using the spade and, if it’s anything like the small tool, it will go through the soil like a knife through butter.

I knew I should have got this, it would have been ideal for me but Mr CC's boring nagging put me off. The likelihood of him digging the garden/weeding to save me money is zero. Now I'll probably have to pay full price unless I source them separately. Not happy.

I've NEVER had any problems getting items at the TSV price up to a week or more later if still in stock.

It may depend on which CS person you get, but I had no problem at all getting this at the TSV price after 6 days. You could say that the video is still mentioning the TSV price as a reason.

PS don't tell QVC ;)

Yes, as Candycane said it arrived in a long brown cardboard box, very securely packed with the small tool sellotaped to the long handle.
i haven’t used either yet but this afternoon my husband used the long spade to dig outa patch full of weeds & said it was good, went into the heavy soil easily. Said it wasn’t heavy but it felt heavy to me. After using it just once he’s already lost the silicone protector that guards the pointed end 🙄

I was told by CS when trying to order the solar lights the day after it was TSV that this was a one time only thing & couldn’t be done again, so well done x

If the lights are now available, it’s probably because I, and others, cancelled their AO because we were fed up with the delay and rethought our order. 😉

My shovel and trowel were still there when I got back after 5 days away.

It was in a cardboard box, but the pointed end of the shovel was sticking out about 6 inches out of the end, so perhaps that's why the courier wouldn't deliver it.

I've used the trowel already as it is very narrow and fits into the concrete drainage channels in front of my garage, so I was able to scoop out the silt that was blocking them.

The shovel is mainly to use in OH's house, as she often asks me to dig up or move plants, which has been difficult with an ordinary spade.

Glad you're was still there. Haven't tried mine. Needs to be a lot warmer than this to get me in the garden. Praying the shovel will dig up the b$¥√≥€|{≠&!!! Bamboo shoots
