A practical solution but maybe not sufficiently glamorous, have a look at DIY tool trolleys at b&q or wickes. They are often on promotion, are very robust as designed to be chucked around by burly builders and have all sorts of storage solutions within as are designed to carry everything from nails and screws to power tools. I use them to cart around my cake decorating kit when attending courses.
