It seems that James Russell is a great fan of this site.

He saw what I wrote about him, and this is what he sent me in an email;

'Thanks for that Ben. my face book posts are for my friends, not for some public forum. '

Don't worry Ben, Mr Russell's Facebook posts are available for anyone to see NOT just his friends.

Thanks for your email Ben I am more than happy to publish Mr Russell's message to you, IMO if TV presenters (I use the term losely with Mr Russell) email the public them I am afraid they can not complain when they end up in the public domain.

I too am a shopping telly customer and most of my friends on facebook are people who work in that industry it wasnt going to be long b4 someone told me what you had done. Me calling the products 'crap' is nothing more than a flipent gag to my friends.but by taking it out of the context of facebook and putting on a shopping telly site you have made it into something quite ugly and sinister.
I know how much of a fan you are of shopping TV and I think it's wonderful how dedicated you are. But my posts to my friends are private Ben, please let's keep them that way '

Finally another deplorable post on Mr Russell's Public Facebook profile.

I hope this man never appears on Shopping or indeed any television in the future.

James Russell returning to Bid tv.

I'm not going to say that I like this, or that I dont like it, because of what he said to me a few months ago about him.

Even though he has said bid tv isnt very good, and that when he quit gems tv that he wont be doing shopping telly again....this was only a few months ago.

This is the man who personally said 'I sell tacky jewellery' very unprofessional.

I totally agree! Still have the horrible messages he sent me....On his return i should quote all the things he said and put them on here.....Since I started the topic, he changed his facebook so I cant see his posts! Say, Sad, Sad! lol

Awwwww NUTS! We turned over from Strictly and there he was! At first I thought it was Brian Dowling what with his fat face and daft haircut. Then he smirked and hubby said 'Oh God no!' and we switched back to the Beeb.
He is the most irritating person on TV, even worse than Mr J. Ross. It's the way he does that silly giggle, oozes towards the camera and says 'Oh, we're in trouble now. This shouldn't have gone as low as this' Does he think we are all as simple as he is?
Hopefully he will move on somewhere else, if he can find anywhere desperate enough to employ him.
Hubby and I are both over 60, Surely there is something Help the aged could do to stop this mental torture

That's OK Happy. We are all different and have different opinions. You are entitled to yours the same as everyone else.
I didn't used to like Peter Sherlock very much, but now he is my favourite. Tastes change as we get to know more about someone don't they?

Hi Ben. I think his facebook post about not selling crap anymore was very very silly of him, and I am sure he regrets it. I have put daft thing on facebook in the spur of the moment and then wished I hadn't, but then my face is not on the telly.
The other stuff just feels a bit petty to be honest and doesn't bother me. I find him funny and a nice bit of eye candy, although my hubby thinks he looks like Peter Crouch lol.

The man's a creep and also crass for blaming Ben for his own mistake - if Mr Russell's going to say online what he really thinks about the companies he works/has worked for, the stock he was quite happy to be paid to flog, and the customers he was happy to be paid to sell to, then he can't complain if this gets picked up on.

But like a typical ignoramus (that crack about the England football team was sidesplitting. Not.), he blames the person who shows him up for what he really is, not himself for not being able to keep his big gob shut.

One thing viewers of shopping telly need to remember: most "presenters" have experience of working as actors or TV presenters in the past: they're not always going to show you their true personality if it'll help them get sales. They are not your friends: they're being paid to be nice to get you to spend money. Mr Russell's posts to his FB friends proves that admirably.

Oh I LOVE Peter Sherlock !! He's fantastic and is wasted on shopping telly. I know what you mean Tassi I used to love Angeline on gems but can't watch her these days and used to hate Peter simons shouting but now I like him lol. Thank you for respecting my opinion though x

the times you've spoken about presenters shifts, you've complained about regularities in their shift patterns, and since I think James' shifts are pretty regular, then you would see some problem with this?

Apologies if I'm wrong but with the complaints about the model regularities and then Carmel being on quite a bit too, I fail to see how James would be an exception

Well, actually, having returned to Sit Up channels last year, he appeared every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Is he doing the same shifts currently?
