We see quite a lot of green woodpeckers here but these are more unusual.

Thanks for more fab pictures WL. You are so lucky having all these wonderful different birds visit your garden, you must have created a haven for them but I do think planting a concrete post is taking it to the extreme! :wink:

The great spotted woodpecker are the ones we have around here. My neighbours have told me they are regularly wooken by one tapping on their bedroom window!
