Don't like little Richard........don't like gardening.......come to think of it, don't like QVC.......so I'm good! :mysmilie_14:

He's just popped up on QVC so that's the prompt for me to stop procrastinating and go to Tesco.

I like QVC and I'm a really keen gardener ... small town garden and an allotment ... but I next to NEVER watch Dickie Gnome. I've bought one gardening widget in all my years of QVC shopping. I don't know who does watch. Local garden centres, DIY stores, supermarkets and even the pound shop sell a great range of gardening bobs. I suppose if you're unable to get to the shops then QVC is your answer. I struggle with getting to the high street but I can always find time to get to a garden centre somehow.

IW is my answer, for everything else it's Amazon and the rest of the Internet. Unless I wanted to actually touch or smell something, everything gets ordered from the Internet, it's not that I can't get the Dreaded High Street, it's just with free p&p it's actually cheaper to order from home.

I don't really like RJ that much, but his flower power plant food really does make a difference to my garden - never had flowers so abundant and big!
I agree it's not cheap, but it gets great results.

Thanks Tinkywinky. I'd far rather have an honest review from someone on here than off the box. So I may give that a go - but I don't want to think about the garden until April !!

(funny how the nay slayers on here never come to the defence of the Gnome ! but go apoplectic at the comments against JF)

Poundland's the place I get nearly all my gardening stuff. Everything I've bought there has been fine, shrubs have thrived as have bulbs, but they sell out quickly in our local one. The Gnome is like a weed - keeps reappearing regularly. Even if I bought from Q, which I don't, I wouldn't pay their prices for plants, the ones I've seen have been a rip-off.

We made some predictions here at Chez Moth before Christmas, about what would be on QVC at the start of the new year and when it would appear. So far we've got everything spot on. I'm not psychic so that must mean QVC is utterly predictable, and, by extension, utterly boring.

Programme was enjoyable by the return of Michael from Thompson and Morgan!

I flicked over this morning and he was criticising the producers gardening skills. Alright then Richard, let's see how good you are at producing a TV programme!

Yay, Richard Jackson is back :mysmilie_8: I know he's not popular but I like him and most of his guests. I only really have a look to see what plants they have on offer, however, I do use flower power which makes my fruit bushes go into overdrive and his slug pellets are very good as well. They're not cheap but they do work. I find I get quite motivated to get out there and do something after watching the show so that has to be a good thing. Some people go to the gym or for a run, I do the garden.

CC

Candycane I applaud your enthusiasm ! I don't do the gym - just looking at the equipment has me heading for the exit; run - last executed in 1994 ; or do the garden until April - in this weather particularly; so its refreshing to hear that Mr 'Motivator' Jackson has inspired you to get out of the chair. Good for you.
