Hattie has announced she's leaving at the end of October.
I dread to think who the replacement will be............

Apparently opening her own Pilates studio, i think she’s always had some Pilates links on the side so not hugely surprising. Is she preggers?

i just hope she doesn’t yell at clients. She sounds like my old horse riding coach, they screech instructions at youApparently opening her own Pilates studio, i think she’s always had some Pilates links on the side so not hugely surprising.
I expect they'll get Derek in for late night shifts unless they rerun hours from earlier in the day. Great if you suffer from insomnia and it's a Droning Troth hour though, you'd be asleep in no time! 😴A few of us predicted on here earlier in the year, when she announced she was qualifying to be a Pilates teacher, that this could be a sign that she might move on.
With Hattie going, Lynn going a few months ago, Rachael Hatton mysteriously vanishing a few months ago, and that Josie going after presenting a whopping two shows - plus the fact that Jeff is off tonight (because he was on this morning instead) yet they haven't brough in a freelancer to cover, it makes you wonder if things still aren't great financially so they're deciding to leave before it's too late.
She'll no doubt be replaced by someone who could represent England if shrieking was an Olympic sport. The phrase that includes 'sinking ship' springs to mind.Apparently opening her own Pilates studio, i think she’s always had some Pilates links on the side so not hugely surprising.

The sensible option would probably move Jim across to replace Hattie and bring Nick back to Gem Collector more permanently but there’s essentially no chance of that happening. Hattie and Jess (temporarily) will both be bigger losses than Lynn as they both regularly bothered to attend work, covered other slots on occasion and largely worked through the school holiday weeks when others take time off.I think they've burnt their bridges with Derek. He went full time, but then he wasn't seen again after the redundancies last year - so I doubt he'll be in a rush to go back.
Their freelancer of choice before the redundancies was gobby Clair Cummins - but they don't seem to be using freelancers at the moment either, so my gut instinct, as she's been covering a lot of Gems TV recently is that Vicky Gordon will become Hattie's replacement.
I suspect when Jess Foley goes on maternity leave, they'll just get Lindsey Carr to cover more, as she does now, with others chipping in too to bridge the gaps too - perhaps people like Jim or Cheralene.
As an outside bet, they may take Millie on again yet again - but after losing her job three times, she might just be happy freelancing now and again instead.

Kate mentioned she will be doing more shows, which means filling in the day slot for either Hattie or Jess. I don’t know if Jeff likes midnight, as the 4x sale wheel, while fast paced, seems to go by fast with banter. Same with Steph. So both may want to stay put in their time slots. With Rosie, Jim and Milly around, i’m sure they won’t need too many more presenters.
Hattie on air flogging some candles and a customer has just messaged through saying she has bought two of them for Hattie to wish her good luck with her Pilates studio.
This might sound harsh but what the hell is wrong with some people? Hattie is not her friend, never has been and more than likely probably never will be.
A staff member from my local Spar retired last year and I wished her the best of luck for the future when I happened to be in on her last day. I certainly didn’t spend 40 odd quid on a leaving gift for her.
It's a bit sad, really. These presenters who've left might be a 'presence' on social media still, but why a viewer would want to send in Christmas cards, presents and leaving gifts has always escaped me. They are salespeople, that's all.Hattie on air flogging some candles and a customer has just messaged through saying she has bought two of them for Hattie to wish her good luck with her Pilates studio.

Quite pointless. After all, IF she wanted them, and didn't just 'put them back on the shelf' as it were (aka, giving them back to Gems to sell), she could get them staff discount if not a virtual give away. And not as a leaving present from SB and co.a customer has just messaged through saying she has bought two of them for Hattie to wish her good luck with her Pilates studio.
I suppose you could understand Christmas cards, and even birthday cards, but other things, no. In the way backs, I used to give Christmas cards to 'favourites' in one or two shops I used to go into, but that died away years back. It's a bit sad, really. Derek Trotter?Hattie's teasing the presenter to take over from her. Wouldn't it be funny if it was the gem specialist who goes by the intials DT?
