Almost all her range is in clearance and I haven’t seen her in ages. Not that I’m pining or anything but she certainly knew her stuff and didn’t have any time for all the time wasting drivel and seemed to have a loyal following. Those qualities are out of favour these days so maybe they showed her the door.

The presenters are always repeating that she is one of the longest lasting clothing lines that QVC has ever had. But maybe her time is up.

I "HOPE" so! Seriously her clothes are the worst I think I've ever seen in the name of "fashion" and that says a lot when you think of the tat that MW is churning out ad nauseam! Her pricing is almost as ridiculous but the clothes are just shocking. Am I dreaming but did she start designing clothing for dogs? If so she should stick to that as that's all her clothes are fit for - Sorry dogs, that's actually a bit harsh. She really does need to "give up her day job"!

She's based in the Elstree area of Hertordshire, and it was rumoured a few years ago that she also did some designs for Per Una at M & S - this was when their range included some stretchy lacy pieces, which she also had in her remit. I don't know where else she would sell her clothing, unless its under another name at various outlets.

There was / is a range called Joanna Hope in the Kaleidoscope catalogue, and thought it might be her, but on investigation I discovered it wasn't. But how many 'designers' have the name Hope ?

I quite liked some of her blouses beautifully made specially considering some the other stuff qvc make. I remember years ago thinking m&s did similar items. not so interested in the skirts though

Now you say it I can see her designs could well be per una, but why marks went with that range is a mystery. I’ve never been a fan, the clothes are far too busy and mostly look like the cat had a mishap. Practically everyone seems to have one of the multi coloured cardi’s with the giant buttons so maybe it’s just me. Marks should stick to good quality neutrals. It’s what they do best and they don’t date. I think Michelle has 2 daughters so maybe one of them is Joanna. It’s a family business.

Per una (ours anyway) dropped that look many years ago. Now it is just the same as everything else in the shop and i don’t understand the need for the different names except for Autograph which is twice the price and half the sizes.

Joanna Hope is her daughter ( I think!)

Like Autograph got some lovely trousers and cashmere jumpers in the winter sale. Beautiful quality

I don’t understand it either! It used to be, if you wanted, say, a skirt you could go to the Skirts section! Now you have to go to about four different ranges (across different floors) to find the skirts in each. Drives me nuts!

I've often wondered that. Even if it's driven by pricing, it still makes no sense as so long as the customer can see the price, what's the problem? I totally understand separating out a section aimed at teenagers and having petite/tall ranges 'cause despite people being a high street size, they still may have issues with trouser/arm lengths etc. Bring back the good old St Michael label and be done with it!
