Just thinking a little more about this Festive Ball does anyone else find it a bit tone deaf considering the cost of living these days or is it just me.
I for one, if I was so inclined, would find it a little difficult to justify the cost. If, like me, you live a few hours away from this destination you then need to factor in travel costs and overnight accommodation as well as extra drinks (unless you can make half a bottle last a night) and spending money for shop and tombola (because, lets fact it, if you are going to go, you are doubtless going to spend). It could work out to be a very costly night.
