Gabbling presenters

I have a vague recollection of Liz Earle disagreeing with AY and she didn’t like it at all. To say the atmosphere for the remainder of the show was frosty was the understatement of the year.

Oh yeah, it was totally obvious that they couldn't stand each other but it was quite amusing to watch.

Just watching Estee Lauder and unfortunately Alison is presenting. I've lost count how many times she's gabbled on about all different genders being able to use the fragrances and the lipstick and some of her sentences when she tries to fit in different genders don't make sense. She then referred to the fragrances, saying 'QVC have called them his and hers fragrances, apologies.' Apologies? Oh man, she a laughing stock, silly moo.

We (not the royal we) think this obsession with gender comes from some sort of personal experience of it - like a child, sibling or other close family member/friend who is a transsexual. It goes too far to come from a 'normal' level of North London social justice warrior.

Even without the constant gender nonsense she doesn't come across particularly likeable and I hate how she constantly talks over the BAs.

Alison Young is downright rude to some folk and then tries to cover it up as a joke. She's very condescending and gets right on my wick. I never watch her. She's not a beauty expert either, she says everything she's selling is the best product on the market - they can't all be Alison. Blahhhh.

Watching Diamonique on Style with Dale and the inane Alex Kramer. After Dale giving full description and details of a product she commented “he know his stuff”. Yes Alex he does, probably because he does his research and preparation, has years of experience and was trained to sell properly. One wonders if they’ve been paired together so she might actually learn from him.

Now I’m not a great admirer of Charlie Brooks but it was like the old days of QVC yesterday. He was presenting a Diamonique hour, alone with just a model, and not only giving out full details but had the infamous QVC ruler out. I’ve not bought or missed out buying items because the presenter hasn’t given the measurements and/or they’re not detailed on the QVC website.

I remember years ago, Julia said AY came into her dressing room, saw that she was using Clinique skincare, and threw them in the bin
Saying "why are you using that!"......Julia didn't actually name the brand of course, but gave an obvious clue.

Well now it's sold on Q, it is of course wonderful etc etc.

I always compare Knuckles & Eyelid because they started on Q at the same time and I've got to say that Knuckles is 100 times better than Eyelid could ever hope to be. I can watch multiple hours with her presenting but as soon as Eyelid appears on a show, the channel gets changed PDQ.

Exactly the same. I like Knuckles' irreverence, but Eyelid comes across is simultaneously insincere and incompetent.

I’d like to think that Julia told the bossy old mare to **** off and mind her own business and then fish them back out of the bin.
But I’m hazarding a guess that she didn’t.
