Does Molton Brown have expiry dates on there Gift Boxes?

Now, there are two Molton Brown on Trustpilot.

One is Molton Brown UK
The other is Molton Brown.com.

I nearly clicked on the com one, but the UK one seem to have good reviews all round.

I rarely look at Trustpilot but I have noticed this ‘duplication’ thing for a few companies. You do have to check you are on the page for the right website but sometimes it is not that obvious. It’s too easy to alight on the wrong one and assume a company has been condemned by reviewers when it hasn’t. You would think Trustpilot would sort it out and get rid of any duplication.

Fortunately for my bank balance, 25% doesn’t cut it for me with Molton Brown. I am looking for 40% off at least. With all the stuff I have in store and all the cheap sets even QVC have offered which work(ed) out about £12 a bottle, plus copies I’ve tried and bought for just a few pounds, I really can’t face paying £16.50 for a hand wash or £18.25 for a shower gel (25% off). Yes, the quality of MB will (nearly) always be better than whatever a supermarket is offering, even if it looks the same, but the price difference is eye-watering. That’s just me, though, and I will thoroughly enjoy using up the many bottles of MB I have stashed away so the love affair isn’t over. It’ll take a proper bargain to draw me in, however.

Tonight IW pulled a sale of Molton Brown the same set as the other week I'm wondering if it was pulled due to out of date if this stock is out of date stock from other week would be

More likely they bought a job lot and want rid of it and not hanging around with Xmas packaging after the holidays.

Or, problems with bottles leaking happened to a few on here but who knows how many others not on here have to return?

I think your assumption is correct Donna- I bought two of the MB sets from IW and after checking the batch numbers on the box (thanks to instructions from Illoyd ) one was manufactured May 2023 and the other July 2023 so not fresh stock but well within the three year "best before" use. Leaking products bad at any time but when in gift boxes and likely presents even worse. My recent L'occitane tsv had leaked so much I could see through the bubble wrap the handcream box had disintegrated You would think these huge organisations would sort the basics out.......

I don’t think it’s worth starting a separate thread for this but there’s a little deal on Secret Sales for 2 mini sets of MB body wash - in each pack there’s a 50ml Suma Ginseng and two 30ml Fabled Juniper & Lap Pine. Nice little stocking fillers at £13 for two and I think you get another 10% off with the code they give, plus free postage (I haven’t used the website but I think Vienna has). I don’t have time just now to start going through the terms, sorry.

Sugar! I was in a hurry to go out earlier - I quickly tested the offer by adding it to my bag and thought it said free but now see it says “free when you spend £50”. Sorry about that. I think the 10% off with code BEAUTY they mention works, though. I don’t know if you think at £11.70 (£13.00 less 10%) with £2.99 on top spoils the deal for you. It makes them £7,35 each. In my bad old “buy every bargain” days, I would probably have bought 5 lots to make the £50 threshold!

TK maxx couldnt get rid of those sets at 50p yellow label even & even then i wasnt tempted (i was talking with the manager & they told me they had to send them back if they didnt sell) thats just how long they had been hanging around

Sadly, not all TK Maxx stores have the same things. I have never seen Molton Brown in mine but if I did see the mini packs at 50p (really?!), I would buy the lot. Probably no older than some of my stock. I’m not fussy!

TKMaxx can be brilliant for beauty. But, you need to know what the real RRP is and what discount they are selling the item at. I have on many occasions thought, the RRP they show is crap!

I have also seen different prices online and in store for the same item.
