For going on air without a full-on wig!

Love these JC hours, and her 'Leslie Phillips' look-a-like assistant Peter

I do notice Joans eyes are starting to separate and droop, as if they are sliding onto her cheekbones. Kudos to her though, great for her age.

I think Joan is best suited to be paired with a male QVC presenter, because like Julia R, they enjoy a flirty flirt

Sorry Joan, Im a Guerlain girl, and am not planning to change

My only gripe is that a makeup range toted as a film set/TV show look is not really what people want to wear to work or to Tescos.

A jewellery range may have been more suitable IMO.

I didn`t watch Joanie but I take my hat off to her. She`s 81 and not many women of her age are still working, earning a crust and putting themselves out there the way she does. I think she lives in a bygone era but what`s the harm in that ? She talks of the glamour days of the 50`s and her makeup range is a little bit old fashioned to many of us but she`s usually a pleasure to watch. Frankly I don`t know or care whether she`s had plastic surgery or not because come what may, she`s an old woman still caring about her looks and still looking glamorous and that takes some doing. Her makeup artiste is old school and that too is lovely to see. They both make a boring QVC set resemble a little bit of a Hollywood movie dressing room and long may they do so.

Excellent post Vienna, I agree with you.
Her make up artist is a pleasure to listen to, a welcome change on Qvc, where we are usually subjected to screeching Mally et al

Oh come on... Tell you what, send us a picture when you reach 81 and we can all critique that.

She's an old style 'star' and I love her for it - better than seeing the scruffy dressed-down look or, worse, the frozen, plumped up fish pouting plastic faces of our new divas.

I hope I'll look that good at 61 let alone 81!

Joan is FABULOUSNESS personified. This is the first time I've watched a full hour show on QVC in a very long time. She really does bring something old yet new to the mix. I started watching the Gatineau hour at 11.00 pm and switched off after 10 minutes as it was just the same old tosh.

Did anyone notice her eye rolling when she thought she was off camera ?? - it really was a look of "what AM I doing here " , it was priceless !!!

Did you all know Joan was the first choice for Cleopatra the movie. The producers decided after filming some scenes they wanted BIGGER and to spend loads more money.dropped Joan for Liz Taylor.

I actually caught some of her scenes the other month on BBC4, documentary about the movie.

She WAS a pretty rubbish actress though ! speaking her dialogue as if she had a mouth full of lemons, and as for that Snickers ad - "c'mon shrimpy", I cringe when I see it.

I didn't realise Joan was 81, she is fantastic, and so not like Toya or Joan Rivers. I loved her in Dynasty...

Love Joan, and what a change to watch a calm, quiet show without all that screeching about queues on the 'phones and so on! (Unlike the Gatineau show with JF, that I had to turn off because she was hyper and too much to put up with). Love Joan's make-up artist too :)

Me too, Brissles. Every time it comes on, mum giggles. It is the worst advert I can remember. I have nothing against Joan but, from a totally personal perspective, Jackie has always been my favourite sister.

I missed it but I love Joan Collins. I don't wear a lot of make up so not my style but she's just fabulous. She'll always have "it".

Funny, she is not my cup of tea at all. Admire for managing to flog a range at 81 but was never a fan. Can't help feeling she is a bit like Brucie, just staying alive so long warrants an award. Sorry.

Have to agree on this one. Can you imagine the future when all the current 'crop' on the box reach a certain age ? ........
Graham Norton with a bad hair weave but great nails courtesy of new significant other Leighton Denny
Carole Vorders still banging on about Detox (or is that Botox) when she gets to 60 with an even younger boyfriend in tow
Vanessa Feltz having verbal diarrhoea on hair products and the joys of long engagements
Myleene Klass - whatever happened to her ?
Madeley & Finnegan both in rehab
Lorraine Kelly still lives in Scotland

Thanks to people like Joan Collins, ladies stopped thinking that they were old when they reached 50+. They started thinking there was life after 50 yrs old and started having fun.
Just compare some photos of women of over 40 about 20-25 yrs ago and the women over 40 now! Gone are the tight perms, and " the grandma look!"
