I'm curious about price. We bought our Bose system at an outlet a few years ago when prices were still okay.

The two items do not go together eg the Wave does not have Bluetooth so can't link to the speaker. So unless you need the speaker for another Bluetooth item, you are paying for something you won't use.

Don't confuse soundLINK with soundTOUCH which is a different Bose system, where everything can link together,

I bought the Wave system with the soundTOUCH accessory which fits underneath.

With this system, I can play music from my ipad onto the Wave, and listen to internet radio.

I can also buy extra soundTOUCH speakers and link them to my system for music in different rooms.

I would NOT have bought the Wave system without the soundTOUCH, and still wouldn't.

BTW they haven't had it since then. Also, they don't reduce the price of the Wave, they just throw in some other items, many of which would not be used.

Thank you Stratto! I was intending to use the wireless speaker with the wave and would have been very disappointed. I will probably not buy it. I don't have a lot of time to listen to music at the moment so will wait for something more suitable.

The COLOUR Bluetooth speaker is so called because it is available in various attractive COLOURS..

So what colour choices do you get for your bonus speaker?

Your choices - black (as Henry Ford once said, you can choose any colour provided it is black)

PS I wonder if they will make it clear that the speaker will not work with the Wave system. The system is so out of date compared with most makes by not having Bluetooth. You even have to set the time yourself, which is not easy and you can't get it accurate, amazingly behind the times

I've just watched the demo on-line.

They showed how you could play music from your tablet on the Wave system by CONNECTING IT WITH A CABLE!!!!!

How very last century!

I'm always amazed how far behind the times Bose are, it's not long ago that you needed a separate module for DAB.

The Wave should have built-in Bluetooth, both for sending and receiving.

They also showed how easy it is to set the clock - - it isn't. You have to keep pressing the up or down buttons until the time works it's way to the time you want. This can take ages, uses a lot of battery on the remote, and the best you can do is get it within a minute. Then, the time can drift (mine does) and you have to reset it.

PS my system with the Soundtouch accessory will play wirelessly from my ipad, but NOT other tablets, it uses Apple Airplay which is proprietary to Apple.

I am pleased with the sound of mine, but that's because I like bass. If you don't, you have to live with the bass-heavy sound, they don't give you any way to adjust it.

I have half-dozen Bose items, but they are all very overpriced and behind the times.

PPS The so-called silver has a black front, so if you wanted a silver unit, hard luck! If you have it on a shelf unit, it will just look black, just like the bonus "colour" speaker.

Just to add to this, quite often I turn my Wave Soundtouch system on to listen to the radio. I may want to listen to a play, but instead of being able to listen from the start, it often says "PLEASE WAIT" and then proceeds to install a software update!!!

I'd better stop now, I've run out of exclamation marks with these 2 posts.

God almighty they are blowing out the candles again get a new presentation for goodness sake.

Why are QVC selling such out-dated tech? If I was in the market for a music system, I'd want it to be as 'future proof' as possible. This Bose system is out of date for the present, let alone looking at the future. For what it's worth, I bought a Marantz M-CR610 unit for just over 400 quid last year and am really pleased with it.

And they call the show INNOVATIONS from Bose.
