7ct Sapphire Ring - The Vault

The old duffer has been waxing lyrical over a a 7ct Sapphire Ring :cheeky: According to him it's cornflower blue - well, he must be colour-blind as it looked completely black to me. Such poor quality it was one-up from a piece of coal. Of course, there were the usual comparisons to that owned by 'Princess Diane' and designed by 'Gerards', by which I assume he meant Princess Diana and Garrards :hi:

Colloquially she was known far and wide as "Princess Diana", although her official styling was "Diana, Princess of Wales".

She just couldn't refer to herself, or be referred to, as a HRH since this was removed (ouch!) upon her divorce from Prince Tampax.
