could never justify spending £250 on a bag or anywhere near that, they probably cost pennies to make.

I got a LG bag in the January sale off their website as I had lusted after one for ages. It is absolutely gorgeous and now I want another one. The quality is second to none and the finish is excellent. The lining is to die for. But then I did pay less than £90 for a bag which costs nearly £300 on qvc.

Given the quality I would be willing to pay that sort of money for them. But hopefully I can get my next one in the next sale :blush:

I got one at full price and I love it and get tons of comments on it but I have to say I would not do it again considering the great sales she has on the webpage - like Rosey I picked up a Wanda bag at 70% off and I love it but feel that it's definitely the more appropriate price.

I've never seen one in the flesh but on-screen they look absolutely lovely, unusual but stylish and not too on-trend that they would soon date. I wish someone would make a "budget" version without it looking cheap by adding lots of metal wear and zips (hint hint Kathy Van Zealand).

Her assistant mentioned last night that LG herself is in Korea this week - no doubt negotiating a dirt cheap manufacturing contract.

They are lovely but I prefer smaller bags. If you want an idea of my perfect handbag from QVC it would have to be the Tignanello French Tote. That's the right size and the right shape. And I have it in bronze and the sunshine yellow.

I'd probably go for the Wanda or the boxy mega bucks nappa leather lips one. I've seen that in real life. It's bigger than I would normally go for but it's glorious. It is however £700. So I shan't be buying it.

I have also bought a few LG bags from her website, in the sale, at vastly reduced prices. I got a large Romilly for just over £100 when it was £450 on the QVC website and a couple of other bags that the combined cost of the two was still less than half the price of one of the bags on QVC. So if you like her bags but not the prices then do keep an eye on her website as there are bargains to be had

I refuse to spend that much money on something which has taken peanuts to make - quality or otherwise. I'm not lining someone else's greedy pockets who is taking advantage of badly paid workers/conditions for their own ends.

If they were getting them made in the far east and selling at reasonable prices, fair enough - but they aren't. They have sacrificed Western economies in the name of profit and greed. I hope it all ends in tears for companies like that, but as there are always enough around who are not only daft enough to pay these prices, but able to while the rest of us are scratching around the sofa cushions for money on a tight budget, it's obscene.

They said on BBC news this morning that thousands of women are still prepared to spend over £1000 on a handbag.
Well, if that's the case, I think they should be made to sort out the national debt as they obviously have more money than sense.

I love her bags, but if my husband spent that on me for Mother's Day I would go mad. Mother's Day is as it says-Mother's Day! This trend of buying for your wife/partner/girlfriend because she has given birth to your kids is just commercialism. My son will get me a card, make me a cup of tea and a small present, probably. That's it, thank goodness - I am not so insecure that I need a friggin Lul Guinness bag to tell me I am an ok mum!

I remember the time when Mothers Day was 'Mothering Sunday' and only celebrated in church. Us kids in Sunday school were then given a sprig of Mimosa to take home to Mum. All this extra commercialism has come from across the pond - like Halloween, it was just a date on the calendar over here, until we followed the Yank's lead and the supermarkets, and look where we are now. I'm waiting for 'Thanksgiving' to arrive and the hand across the heart, and then we really ARE done for !

I don't know how,why or when that Mothers day became such a big thing.

When I was a little'un,we made a card at school and my dad bought a pot plant that was stored in the garage until mothering sunday.

That was it - no huge celebrations,no grand gestures - the day carried on as "normal".

and for me,certainly thats how I would like it to continue,in my house.

I do think at times my MIL must be a bit disappointed in our Mothers Day Offerings - I don't go overboard on cards - just buy a generic one and either a bunch of flowers or a box of chocs that cost no more than a fiver.QVC must be disgusted with me too!!!!
