I always wanted to go and see Les Mis when I was a student in London but the ticket prices were way too much for my pocket.
About 10 or 15 years ago my neighbour had an emergency and gave me her tickets and I was thrilled.
By half an hour in I'm whispering to my OH "What are they singing...
Yes it is supposed to be funny but a lot of the jokes are running ones and you need to know the back story of the characters. I thought that the Xmas special from 5 years ago was way better than this, but for a fan it was the tying up of all the ends so maybe in order to do this, the episode as...
A few weeks ago I mentioned the Lidl beauty dupes to you all as I don't go to Aldi...I bought some of the MB stuff and was working my way through the Rose and Rhubarb hand-wash. I'm only a quarter of the way down (not cos I'm a soap dodger, it's because I'm the only person using it, honest) and...
You could buy a really nice Citizen Eco-drive watch with your budget. Loads of styles to choose from. I have 2, one I've worn every day for over 10 years plus a newer one I bought as a dress watch for evenings. I love that you never ever have to buy a battery.
I opted out of Secret Santa at my new workplace (GP surgery) as the budget was £20 which I thought was huge. Instead I wrapped up gifts for housebound patients with no families, that the nurses could take them on their rounds.
In previous years I've put loads of thought into gifts for SS just...
Thanks. I thought they were soy wax which I find don't keep their fragrance as well as paraffin, so that's good. I watched a few times and they always said to put the lid on to snuff out and to never trim the wicks!
With Harry Slatkin candles could people who know please tell me if they keep their fragrance if unopened in a dark place (as they are soy not paraffin) and if it is true what they say about only having to burn for an hour as it scents the house for ages? Oh and is it also true that you don't...
Maybe it's because a single wick is in the middle and there's a hole in the shade directly above the flame, whereas the double wicks would have the flame directly under the glass. I'd look on ebay as I bet there's someone out there selling them.
No biscuits for a year!! Serious willpower...or cake instead? 😉
Can't say I'd be thrilled by an empty biscuit tin for Christmas, but each to their own!
I get the light up houses every year if I like the contents (yes to biscuits or chocolates, no to tea) and the look and colour, and now have a little village I put across the bottom of my fireplace at Christmas. The lights are still going after 3 or 4 years of evening use over the 3 weeks...
I have a 10kg machine and I put a velvetsoft ks duvet cover in with 2 velvetsoft pillow cases, the 2 inside cotton pillow cases and 2 pillow protectors, no problem. Plenty of room. Then I wash the velvetsoft ks sheet separately with other bits and pieces. Mine are all champagne type colours so I...
I was a very good girl and didn't succumb to the tsv 😇...although I did get the filled velvet bedspread that was down to £42 plus p&p!! 🤭It was actually big enough to drape completely over a ks unlike a lot of the throws. Down from £75 was a bargain. It does annoy me that they don't have all the...
I find that the KS duvet covers are always bigger than a KS duvet (especially in the velvetsoft)and you end up with extra fabric. So last time they had a tsv with 2x four piece sets I just bought them in double to try. The fitted sheets are elasticated all the way round so the doubles go on my...
