    Centigrade Outwear TSV 30/08/16

I am amazed on so many levels by this strange garment. I've never been a fan of the Captain Caveman look anyway and it hasn't won any fans here today so who is spending £40 odd quid on something so unflattering? And if it is so "on trend" there'll be cheapo versions of it everywhere in a few...

Can we please have a Kipling show without monkey silliness

I have half a dozen or so Kipling bags in various sizes, just plain colours, I'm not keen on the prints, mainly because they're lightweight and I prefer not to buy leather. But I take the monkeys off straight away because I'm a grown up! It's the design and usefulness of the bag I'm concerned...

    Are you a 'Joinette'?

So on the one hand they encourage you to buy QVC exclusives so you'll be wearing something no-one else has got and now they want you to feel like part of some "club" where you all buy the same stuff :taphead:

Oops, 2 coffees there! Memories of Mrs Overall.

Laura Geller Make Up TSV 14/08/16

I like LG sets but these colours seem to dark for my fair skinned, red head complexion, particularly the lipstick and I've got enough brown eyeshadow to last me a lifetime. Whatever names you call them, toffee, chocolate, coffee, sludge, twig, coffee or cinnamon - it's all BROWN...

Judith is friends with Billy Botox and Freddy Filler

I think Leslie was one of the original WAGS, I'm pretty sure her husband Lee played for Leeds Utd. I remember her modelling in my Jackie magazine. She didn't have big lips to start with so even without the allergy or whatever, it was always going to look odd. Just like Meg Ryan, the...

    Miele

My mum had a twin tub all through our childhood and a spin dryer she had to hold onto otherwise it spun round the kitchen! We moved house when I was about 17 and she had her first fitted kitchen and it took ages to persuade her to have an automatic washing machine because "what am I going to do...

What have you returned lately and why?

I returned a Pilgrim watch - looked lovely, navy blue rubber/silicone strap and rose gold face. It stopped after a couple of months so I took it to Timpsons to be checked out and he said it wasn't the battery it was the watch. Not the quality I was hoping for so I won't bother with them again...

    Australian Bodycare TSV 05/08/16

Same here. It took me a long time to figure out that it was my shampoo that was causing my dry, irritated scalp but now I use OGX products and I have no problems. Luckily I don't seem to react to shower and bath products at all. So my problem literally is all in my head - sensitive scalp and...

    Marv-ellous

This may be old news as I haven't posted for a long time but I tuned into BBC Midlands Today yesterday and who should be bringing me the latest headlines but the lovely Marv! Just as Jackie K used to do....

Just a bit of fun songs I think are well matched to QVC presenters and guests

Inspired idea for a thread - some great laughs here. Simon Brown and Jilly Jones - You'll always find me in the kitchen at parties Glen Campbell - Return of the Mac(k) Del Boy - Fake by Alexander O'Neal Chloe - 2 Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps JR - Mary Poppins - Practically Perfect...

Jackie Kabler - lack of empathy

Jackie used to read our local BBC Breakfast news and looked as if she hated it. She looks a lot happier now. I like her, she doesn't take herself too seriously and seems to enjoy presenting a range of products. Much prefer her to DF and JR the divas.

    down the plughole?

I too have to be very careful with skincare and hair products due to rosacea and a sensitive scalp so when I find something that I don't react to, I stick to it, whatever it is. That's why I use Tigi shampoo and sometimes Wen if I can afford it. SBC works for me and the big sizes are...

What's been your biggest waste of money from QVC?

Bloomin' great big Bissell carpet shampooer. Used it once, years ago, took ages for the carpet to dry. It's still gathering dust in the cupboard under the stairs as I keep thinking I'll give it another go but I never do :mysmilie_10:

Jason Vale Retro Slow Juicer TSV 27/9/15

You make a good point. Having recently had very expensive dental work, I read a lot about dental health. Juices can be acidic which attacks the enamel plus gums benefit from the chewing action so if you're going to indulge in juices on a regular basis, you need to have a good dental hygiene...

Weird Christmas Presents as suggested by QVC

Well, I haven't worked out how to add links but if anyone buys me the Wet and Forget Shower Cleaner for Xmas I'll be writing a strongly worded letter to Santa

Sensitive skin - reacting to everything!

Or anti-biotic gel, which has worked for me in the past for a quick fix.

Sensitive skin - reacting to everything!

Also, I find that using a micro fibre skin care cloth is much kinder than muslin or flannel when I get a flare up.

Sensitive skin - reacting to everything!

I have rosacea and I would also say to avoid essential oils although I have found SBC Propolis has been less of an irritant than most. I would go for something bland like Avene which has a specific range for redness or La Roche Posay -they both do a nice thermal water spray. I also like Dr...

Well, I've heard it all now

Reminds me of Wallis. I like a wrap or tunic dress but they couldn't resist sneaking in a shark bite hem. Amused me how the rep kept saying Rouging instead of Ruching. Silly I know but there you go :mysmilie_17:
