Well that's not what Mikey Mason would have us believe. How many times has he come on screen and said that he has been down to the warehouse and said that he wanted such and such items for his viewers? How the warehouse people have said no, but Mikey said yes I want that, he's got into an...
I know when I first became of this forum Mark didn't appear to be that popular, but I haven't seen any criticism about him for sometime. I've said it myself that I have no issue with the guy and think he is one of the better presenters on the channel. I have no interest in what he gets upto in...
Hey Steve, think you've interpreted what I said differently to what I intended. What I meant was, if Helen is doing such a good job at the moment, it makes me wonder why she felt the need to act like she did when she first joined the station.
What is it they say about never getting a second chance to make a first impression? Sadly, I'll always remember Helen doing her brainless idiot act when selling Jewellery, on the Jewellery avalanches, that stupid box game etc with all her faux 'can't believe it' nonsense (there was a fantastic...
I'm surprised that people still fall for all this BS and buy the stuff.
Bid has been selling 'the incredibly rare' Tanzanite daily since late last year telling us how it is going to run out (although the length of time left appears to be increasing rather than decreasing). Flicking through...
I saw Wendy on This Morning a few weeks back. If she now has a regular gig with them, I imagine she was pretty quick to ditch her 'Monday Club' shift on Bid with Pete.
Sam Simmons then. She actually used to work on those premium rate phone in shows about five years ago (same as Katie Piper (the girl who was a victim of an horrific acid attack, whose recovery and what not has been documented on Channel 4), where people would ring in to 'chat' to her), so I...
Carmel has got a minimum of five (and probably more) years experience as a full time presenter on Bid TV and their associated channels, so it's hardly like she's a newbie to Home Shopping. As you said, QVC is the Premier League of Shopping Channels and from what I've seen (and that isn't much...
I didn't see this and haven't been impressed with Carmel in the slightest since she joined QVC, however, she was always at her strongest at Bid when she had someone else to bounce off/have a joke with; whether that was with one of the assistants, or when she was on with another presenter. Even...
This pretty much sums him up for me, a Grade A pillock who at times looks as though he has just gotten straight out of bed. Seems ill prepared, more often than not doesn't know what he is on about, and another in the line of terrible Sit Up bulls*itters. So ends the streak of decent presenters...
Ha Ha Ha, I know I'm in the minority here, but his Pocket Sizedness doesn't bother me in the slightest. There are plenty more annoying, irritating, dishonest, boring, awful presenters on the channels than him.
Agreed, and she used to work really well with the much missed (but still turns up every now and then for his fragrances) Peter Sherlock. Why they decided to split up Peter and Marie and team him up with Sophie I'll never know. Anyone happen to know what Marie is up to these days?
I thought Lisa had left? I remember a thread not too long back to that affect, and I nearly posted about how long would it be until she's back!
A different kind of scare story altogether than the type the presenters use when selling the fire blanket or home security systems.
Mike's rarely on as it is anyway, and just seems to be another who was stuck away on Speed Auction.
I had my issues with his behaviour on screen in the past, but I've come to the conclusion that it was just ill thought out and he is a decent bloke at heart (as a quick read of his twitter feed...
It's one of Mikey Mason's favourite lines; encouraging people to multi-buy and then claiming they can sell them on at a profit (all whilst somehow forgetting to tell the viewer that they get charged p&p on every item bought).
As he often says 'I wouldn't lie to you viewers' and 'I've got to tell the truth, I'm not allowed to lie', while selling everything at less than cost and the channel constantly seems to be 'losing money' when he is on.
Spiv to the end.
The guy's name was Lee (watched a bit more later where he gave his name), but I've never seen him before and have no idea who he is. If he was a stand-in, seems strange that it was someone new as opposed to a Mark Ryes, an Adam Heppenstall or that pillock Gardner who tend to be the go to guys...
Flicked over during the adverts of Big Brother (sorry!), and saw another new presenter on Price Drop. Needless to say it was a male (as all the recent newcomers have been), and there must be about a 3:1 ratio (or greater) of male to female presenters at the moment.
Did Mikey claim that people were multi-buying them?
I did catch him trying to flog some hideous china Elizabeth II figurine the other night. Started at just under two hundred pound and he had three buyers, then no-one else was coming in. Mikey claimed he'd decided to do a non-stop drop, it...
Really Mikey? Somehow I don't believe you, although the 'multi buy and sell them on' line is one that I've seen him come out with quite often. Do these guys have any morals at all?
This guy has now surpassed The Spiv in my least favourite Sit Up presenters and is fast approaching James Russell.
