WRT to Peter, I think he's hilarious (for all the wrong reasons).

I must admit that, as the owner of a vintage (1970s) Omega, I am afraid to have it on my wrist in case I get 'outswanked' by anyone I bump into who happens to be wearing one of those masterpieces of horology as sold on IW.

Is she the one who's very exited about everything and acts like she's been breathing laughing gas? She's unwatchable.

Flicking through the channels I caught Paul demonstrating that the 'tanning accelerator' (Zhuzh?) spray. He sprayed it onto his chinos while proclaiming that it it would leave no marks if accidentally sprayed onto clothing. I waited until he declared that the stain was now gone with a bloody big...

I feel sorry for all the discerning collectors. Just imagine receiving one (or more) of these masterpieces of Horology through the post, then realising the only place you can show off your purchase to envious onlookers is down the toilet roll and pasta aisles at Tesco! If, in these uncertain...

    Masterpieces of horology!

Imagine what these luxury/heritage/ masterpieces of horology would look like if IW were broadcasting in HD?!

I was just wondering if anyone here has taken the plunge and treated themselves or their loved ones to any of the luxury watches being sold on IW? I Know that the cost of insurance has to factored in when buying any of these masterpieces of horology so I'm guessing - unless you have some...

WRT the 'Baselword' the presenters/guests keep referring to, rather than the Swiss watch convention, could it be the souvenir shop of a theme park somewhere off the A1 which is dedicated to Basel Brush? (Yes, I know it's Basil, but go along with me.)

Peter going for the vagrant look on this evenings luxury timepiece show.

Yesterday, on the earlier S&E watch show, George Formby warned us that he expected the stock to sell out long before the show was finished. I'm guessing he had his uke under the table in case he needed to fill the remaining airtime with a medley of classic hits ('Oh Mr Woo' 'My Little Stick of...

Yes, I think that's her - the newest presenter. I haven't seen 'Proskins' so can't be absolutely sure though. WRT the S&E watches, what really worries me is that - with all this corona virus palaver - will the specialist insurers be open for business so the buyers can insure their timepieces?

I remain convinced that Shaun could make a good living by doing a George Formby tribute act....

Is she the new one who was on the mattress show last night? She's awful. If she dialled down the enthusiasm a few notches I might be able to cope, but as it stands she does my nut in.

I wish George Formby would get the uke out and treat us to a few of the old favourites. It would be much more entertaining than just gurning at his missus across the coat rail.

I saw MM in his 'Greasesque' High School cardy the other day. Unsure how the fancy dress theme correlates with a 'birthday celebration' but there you go. He couldn't quite manage the DA though!

Someone needs to do a 'glossary of terms' for those of us who are not familiar with all these nicknames.

I can't help but wonder if the presenters have sales targets, targets which translate into bonuses? If they are simply on a fixed salary, then they are all better actors than we give them credit for.

I was just wondering if all the 'watch collectors' who buy these 'heritage & luxury' brands have yet to realise that, if they were to combine the amounts spent then they could have bought themselves a watch which onlookers can instantly realise to be 'luxurious and with heritage'?

Shaun always reminds me of George Formby. It's the gormless look! On the Hammer phone slot he was sitting there with open gob while the 'expert' dropped the phone in a jug of water. All that was missing was for Shaun to exclaim "EEH! MOTHER! TURNED OUT NICE AGAIN, ANT IT?!"
