It really is interesting to note that many online companies are now opening up shops,perhaps shoppers are becoming fed up with buying online,personally i like going out to shop even if its just to see and feel the items i want to buy.
I think much of the problem is the growing season for plug plants is very short now because of the weather it makes more sense to buy more established bedding now,some of the plugs i have will take far to long to establish i will never learn,been out to B@Q this morning and got some lovely...
I had a love affair with fuchsias a number of years ago and tried many types they are a quite robust plant so am going back to them again for my baskets this year in fact a trip to garden center is called for today i think.
The weather is the problem in the uk in recent years, up here in the east of Scotland i now grow bedding that does not mind it cold and wet from time to time,a lot of the bedding RJ sells is just not suitable .
I would have my doubts about getting money back from qvc after that length of time how do you prove a shrub has not done as expected and who would bother after that time which i suppose is what they want.
I find i prefer to go to my local garden centers in Edinburgh Dobbies and Klondyke to browse and pick my plants rather than have the bad experiences i have had with plants from TV.
There is no doubt in my mind that going to the garden center is buy far the best way to do it but of course not every one can do that , having said that i have had some really good buys on ebay although i make sure i don't pay a lot for plants that come through the post.
Personally i would have nothing to do with hermes i have had problems in the past the deliveries come in a private car by someone who does not look very professional to me i dont know why qvc use them.
I noticed on ebay the other day looking at plant food there was RJ's selection try me plant food kit i hour left and it was a fiver it was new from Liverpool i just wondered at the time what that was about.
But he used to sell them in a garden center i wonder if there is anything he has not done? no doubt he will be bringing out a range of garden furniture soon.
