    Random musings and general banter.

She had been doing assistant presenter stints on TJC prior to Ideal World, which was the first I'd seen of her for a long time. I've always had a soft spot for her, even if she can talk the hind legs off a donkey! I've watched probably more of the "new" Ideal World since its relaunch, usually...

Have just seen Gen selling a foot massager, yet didn't show it us working or demonstrate it once.

    Random musings and general banter.

That's another thing about this channel, when they would claim the likes of Janice etc. were "experts". I remember "interiors expert" Sue Southall, who was nothing more than a bit part actor.

    Random musings and general banter.

It was morphing more and more into Bid when I used to still check it out, decent Ideal World presenters left and were replaced with schysters like Mason, Simon and Jaxx. The awful Genevieve and her dreadful husband who was seemingly an "expert" on everything. I know he was never the most...

    Random musings and general banter.

Got to say it is several years since I last watched Ideal World (probably since before the pandemic) and after hearing about the channel the other day, am not sad to see the back of it. Out of curiosity, which presenters who were there at the dying days of Bid were also there at the end of...

    Random musings and general banter.

I haven't posted here for a while and I'm sure this is old news, but I've just found out that Pete (the phone 'expert') is Disingenuous Gen's husband. What is it with this company and keeping it in the family? We've Shaun Crawley who they initially claimed was some 'luxury products expert'...

    Vibrapower with Sally Jacks

I didn't see this, but did catch the very end of Genevieve's show with home interiors 'expert' Shaun and then some of Sally's Woodland leather jacket show before heading out. Genevieve was selling some mattress toppers, these quilts to put over your bed and some pillows and Sally pipes up from...

    The Festive Toy Bundle

I had a laugh when I saw this being sold over the weekend. Little surprise that it is near enough the same bundle of toys that they sell every year. Remote control helicopter? Check. Cars that ride up the walls? Check. Gloves that glow in the dark? Check. Some crafting tat? Check...

Fabulift Eye Formula - and making a welcome return is...!!

I've seen him on a fair bit recently and he has well and truly got his feet under the table. How long before IW are selling his perfumes and fragrances? While I didn't mind him at all on Bid, I find it amazing that Ideal World took the three worst presenters from that channel when it all went...

Play the 'Sum up a presenter in one word' game!

Couldn't condense Genevieve down to one word so gone for three! Think they all sum her up to a tee. Don't know what's happened to this woman as she was so likeable when she first joined IW. Serious stations of grandeur with her now. Genevieve Ni Reamoinn - patronising, conceited, insincere

Who is the new presenter on Ideal World?

This shower at Ideal World have surpassed themselves by bringing in Sally Jacks! I though Mikey M was bad enough, then dirty, double-entendre Pete turns up and now shouting Sally! Someone has already mentioned this but do those in the power not realise that part of the reason Bid went to pot...

    A sinking ship

Ideal World seems to have been on it's last legs for some time and the main problem seems to be the sheer lack of products they have to sell. I swear I see the Vibrapower being sold every day (although on checking their website it's not being sold today, although it's on twice tomorrow to make...

    Random musings and general banter.

I saw him on this morning before I left the house. Literally the same stuff, every show, every year, despite it always seeming to 'sell out'! Those cars that drive up the walls, flashing teeth, some crappy flying contraption, 3D pens etc. I couldn't believe it when he claimed those magic bows...

    Getting to know Peter Simon

I didn't see this but reminds me when he was on Bid, and it would be any excuse possible to get his hands on poor Marina!

Oh dear bid-up is back :(

To add to the belief that this company seems to be morphing more and more into Bid TV, Charlie Charleston turned up today in some 'expert' role in a show that Lee Clark was presenting first thing.

Mike Mason joins Ideal World TV

And what is so unbelievable about that? I've already stated my opinion about Mikey, do you want me to go and find what I posted earlier in the thread and edit it into here? How on earth do you know how me or any other poster on here find someone? Just because you like him, his presenting...

Mike Mason joins Ideal World TV

I've seen enough of Mason over the years on Bid to be fully aware of his sales technique; the tall stories, the exaggerations, the fabrications, the cockney wide-boy pitch, the scare tactics, the shouting, the loud overbearing voice, the screaming of 'av it!', the feigning of disbelief at the...

Mike Mason joins Ideal World TV

I watched him for literally two minutes (if that) then changed the channel (put QVC on with Chloe).

So where will the presenters reappear?

I thought Eilidh looked stunning on Supercasino last night/this morning. Coped pretty well and should do fine. Have to agree that it's pretty clear Emily De Cosimo put a word in for her or got her the gig. Good on Eilidh though, always liked her on Bid and nice to see her back on the screen.

Mike Mason joins Ideal World TV

Saw Mikey Boy for the first time this morning presenting the Pick of the Day before I left. Absolutely awful and sticks out like a sore thumb. Genuinely have no idea what Ideal World were playing at when they hired him. I honestly believe that the likes of Bod and Far Mani are far more...
