I remember a few years ago when Amit had a thing for putting himself in these ridiculously expensive adverts, one where he is in a white suit next to a pricy yacht, springs to mind. In my opinion IW is basically the worst elements of qvc but with the ex-bid tv presenters... it is quite glorious...

As have many of you have said, I always found him quite charming on qvc but definitely helped by nostalgia of him being from an era where many of their presenters put a degree of fun into selling genuine tat. Can you imagine them now trying to sell a toy car, that also has a clock.... and also...

Just for the record, both Caroline Lindsay and Chloe Marshall were presenters on IW when it started 18 years ago.. so if that doesn't sell you on how much you will love to hate IW, then I simply don't know what will.

there in, lies the trick of selly telly... they will never use a demo that would imply that remote effort is needed. on a deeper level they are not selling the product on it's cleaning ability... but on ''it practically falls off without having to use any elbow grease'' if it works with a bit...

I used to think that Simon Iles and Mike Saint were the same person... though to be fair Mr Saint is infinitely more annoying.

In my opinion Janice was no more a tech expert than anyone else, but at least they were clever enough to minimise the times they would have her show anything but tech.. so it at least gave the appearance she was their legit tech expert. They make no effort to conceal the notion that Vol au vent...
