We all know in the world of sales that the truth can be stretched, however there's a difference between that and outright lies.

Yeah they peddle the same old GUFF about central heating, completely ignoring the fact most folk have TRVs in EACH ROOM that can be turned up, down or off altogether. And modern boilers (granted not older ones) are ever more efficient. But no, don't use central heating, strap one of their rads...

Is there not some sort of consumer and/or broadcasting legislation that makes it illegal to keep showing phone numbers and other ordering information when the company is in a state of flux? Or are they covered legally by the strapline along the bottom of the screen? To me it's a ludicrous...

To be fair, it's possible you could have been a teenager ... a very rough looking teenager granted ... who hadn't been using enough Opatra red light therapy :)

Now come on Jazzy, you're long enough in the game to know these statements aren't always necessarily true ;) And even if they do (sell out) it's not to say they're making hellish much if anything depending on the financial state of the business, which we now know wasn't great ...

It was good to see him up this way. tbh we never went to Anstruther much, the small fish & chip shop in Pittenweem was our preference, just a very basic old school place. Alas no longer there, literally! It burnt down and the owner has since passed away :(
