    Boots Bobbi Brown Star Gift

No, she’s not and neither should you be. I’d like to remind you that you could buy the equivalents in Aldi for about £18 and have a choice of shades. You probably already did - check your cupboard! I am teasing, of course, but in all seriousness, I just don’t get these make-up sets - like QVC...

They really have, haven’t they? They buy everything going and then try to justify it on here. I try to be the voice of reason but they’re having none of it.

For the love of all that’s holy, ClaireKelly! Read your own posts back and see where you’re going wrong, woman! Friday at 7.03am … Friday at 2.28pm … Monday at 12.41pm … Wednesday at 4.20pm … Wednesday at 6.29pm … It’s like listening to the internal conversations of a seesaw.

Marks & Spencers Beauty Advent Calender

That’s so much better as a gift for someone. I’ve seen 12 day advent calendars before but I think they were for the days up to Christmas still and I’ve often thought what a shame you can’t give one to someone on Christmas Day.

It’s not funny! I have an affliction!

Marks & Spencers Beauty Advent Calender

No, thank YOU! Trouble is, your calculations are again making me think twice about the value. Individually, the items work out just a quid or two and I’m thinking just get it! I must stay strong.

    Aldi Health & Beauty

I wonder how they compare. Report back if you get a moment. I bought the Lavender as well but it’s been a while since I used the L’Occi one. I spritzed a bit of the Sol de Janeiro dupes on today and am surprised by how strong they are. As they are big bottles and copies (and cheap), I expected...

The tall slim 250ml bottles of matching hand wash and lotion (£1.99) appear to be copies of The White Company (£15.00). I’m not sure why they have numbered them 1 - 4 now but the earlier “branding” had much more the look of the White Co as well.

    Aldi Health & Beauty

I didn’t like to say anything but yes, they do look a bit naff! The Lush ones don’t look that pretty either. I wonder what they’re like, though. They had the big 500ml bottles of shower gel that are in Molton Brown shaped bottles and have similar names (Rose & Rhubarb, Gingerlily, Orange &...

    Aldi Health & Beauty

Ah, thanks. That was bugging me. I had a quick look at them in the shop but was assuming they were random shower gels that had been put there. That Instagram video tells us the equivalents in Lush are £28! 😲 I should at least have smelt them.

Well, you’ve started something now, Marina. I went to Lidl earlier and they had a decent little selection of all the items we discussed. It was where you said, opposite the Cien stuff, with the candles and diffusers. The 500ml brown bottles of hand wash and body wash (Aesop copies at £3.49)...

Marks & Spencers Beauty Advent Calender

This year’s M&S beauty advent calendar is going to be £50. Still good value if you like and will use most of the items, I think, but creeping up in price. It’s also cheaper than many others around though you have to spend £30+ on Clothing/Home/Beauty to qualify. At first look, I’m thinking same...

    Aldi Health & Beauty

I can believe that. Aldi have invested a lot of time, money and effort in Lacura and it has earned a cult following. I seem to think Lidl had a go at it a few years ago, before I shopped there, but until these recent items, all they had (that I’ve noticed), apart from everyday ranges including...

    Aldi Health & Beauty

I’ve only vaguely heard of it and if “high priced” means “high end”, I guess it is high end. Well, £35 for the 500ml bottle above. I think it’s worth a sniff in Lidl if I can find it.

Well, find out! I expect you to spend your entire Saturday morning researching for us! Just teasing. I’ve now had a Quick Look myself instead of being idle and it is indeed Aesop. Now that is an unapologetic copy!
