Reminded me of this. I lived in Manchester back in the late 80s and early 90s. This was the most annoying song- always being played by James Stannage on local radio. One verse goes… ‘' me own in the comfort of me home when me peace is interupted by me t—t on the phone, She goes, "Hiya, I'm at...

It is. Hammy spotted it and once you notice, it does make you question their output. He doesn’t wear it all the time, though, especially when Kevski was on in previous IW incarnations. Peter S has a Rolex as well… It’s odd that none of them chose those brands, though! Almost as if they know he...

Seiko owns several brands not marketed as ‘Seiko’, (Seiko Epson owns Orient, for example - but it’s run at arm’s length), but under the ‘Seiko’ name, they sell Astron, Prospex, Presage, King Seiko, 5 Sports, Coutura, Diamond, and Core. When the watch is sold under the prestige or higher Seiko...

    I’m ever so jealous! That’s a fantastic collection 👍

Fantastic. Seiko 5 with the original movement (only winds through wearing - no hand winding option). The 7S36 movement is a great one to learn with - and every single time I work on a Seiko I am in awe of the magic lever. If I lived to be 100, I’d never have thought of it - so simple and yet so...

Oh, I think he might. Especially because he seems to think it was funny (that, presumably, he’d been defrauding a lot of people, at least some of whom could ill afford it). Mind you, least he’ll not need one of Voldemort’s radiators…. 👹👹👺

It would’ve needed more than 40,000 to all keep a secret. Heck I can’t even get two of my mates to keep secret what I got the third for his birthday! 🤣

I looked into this a while back - I couldn’t find any BAFTA in his name at all. It was just possible that a show on which he was working had won one (even that wasn’t completely clear to me from the BAFTA site, but it’s my best guess.) BAFTA’s site lets you search at this link...

    Me too, Jazzy. Stay well.

I agree as well, and for the same reason.

A lifetime of Selly Telly creams, potions, devices and appliances have helped make him the man he is today. It seems one who looks ten years older than he is 🤣🤣

Janice, in the early hours, stated his tick list for a watch. Absolutely agree with every word of this. There are very, very few watches IW sell that won’t depreciate like a stone after purchase.

SUPER Matey, if you don’t mind…. Only the classy stuff for IW…

It’s back. Moaning away about a forum that it chose to be a member of, and still Is, despite never contributing anything positive. Nothing weird about that at all….

He did. Bristolian folk singer around in the early 70s.

It’s a bit lighter, I guess, but I used to really enjoy Fred Wedlock. His ‘Handier Household Help’ makes me smile even now…

With IW 2 their TP score was utterly awful. But genuine. Suddenly, around 3 years ago, if I remember correctly ,they cottoned on and hundreds of single sentence reviews appeared, with very, very little detail. IW also started soliciting reviews. Suddenly their score went through the roof. Not...

Interesting reviews… ‘it'll do the job for a fun gentle paddle.’ ‘some customers have reported durability issues and find it difficult to inflate.’ ‘it gets punctured quickly and the paddle snaps in half.’ ‘stability is an issue’ Seems like the standard IW quality….

It’s a lovely looking movement, tbh. I’ve stripped down a SeaGull 1963 with the ST1901 (with the swan’s neck regulator) and I was actually quite impressed. I think it shows that if the contract price is fair, then real care can be taken. Enjoy it in good health and happiness, Ronzy!
