Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

I don't think that is done on purpose. I definitely floor managed shows where the presenters said what size they were. Especially Loen seemed quite good at saying "im a size 16, and this is quite loose, so If i were you girls, I'd size down." So in answer to your question, there's isn't a reason...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

Shows are 100% never rehearsed. There is no studio time or space to do so. Guests and presenters undergo screen tests before getting jobs on the channel. Guests may practice their demos in their spare time etc. However, new shows are not at all rehearsed. Meetings are held and everyone involved...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

Where possible to source, they try to use some real burnt on grease with proper baking trays etc. The demos they do in the kitchen, on the actual oven they use for kitchen shows are all real. However, all the ones that you see on a demo hob, bin, high chair etc are all prepped with watered down...

Completely agree. I came here to put right the insane thoughts by some. Then told the answers are boring... haha

I may be being thick but I don't quite understand the question..? Do you mean how long do I think the current line up of presenters will be there..?

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

Hello! Now these are the questions I was expecting and can answer! Finally people are getting it! :) Ideal world don't use robot cameras, and I don't think they should. As you've said, it makes viewing frustrating and slows everything down. The shots are all uninteresting too. I just covered the...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

Think this has now been answered. However, the answer goes for almost all television productions. There are floor monitors that show program output, and another showing "preview". Which is the next shot. The director will direct the camera guys to get a certain shot, then say "coming to 1, on...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

Haha, well done :) From a crew point of view, people understand the importance of having to get work experience, and try to be accommodating. It's a tough industry to get work in. You can't get in as you have no experience, but can't get the experience. It's also very much a "who you know"...

Hahaha. Yes, he is still there. Or he was when I left a year ago. Always was/is a jobs worth.

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

As opposed to "what do you think of Dennices make up?" The idea was to answer questions on the behind the scenes workings of Ideal World, end speculation on repeat shows. Give you some all some answers from an insiders point of view. Not to give you info on their salaries and whether they like...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

Ask an interesting question and you'll get an interesting answer. If you want to know what presenters think of people saying they are bad at their job. They are evidently going to be defensive or not care. Thats human nature, and presenters are no different. If you want to know whether...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

What? haha. Im confused at what you're saying? Im not saying that your points were invalid or that I disagree with your views on the presenters styles. I was asked what presenters think of the forum. Many times the forum was mentioned whilst working there. Their attitudes towards it were.. "did...

Again, nothing to do with me how they react. haha. I was asked their perceptions of the site, and I told you. Lol.

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

Please refer to where I said multiple times.... "...the thread was meant to be more for technical/behind the scenes, rather than whether I know of purposely misleading presentations". There is no other answer than the one you already know. I simply elaborated to give more detail as the question...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

That's the difference between a buyer and TV. I work in television production. I was not ever in the business/customer service side of Ideal. I'm purely stating the logistics and explanation from a television production point of view. Rightly or wrongly, for us, it's "just another show"...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

It depends what you want to ask. I opened the topic to enlighten people on the production of shopping telly. How demos are set up, what are used in demos to replicate scenarios. Why certain things happen in tv shopping. The workings of a tv studio. The sets, cameras, audio, lighting, how guests...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

More than happy to respond. As long as I'm not negatively impacting Ideal, I am happy to oblige. Although the thread was meant to be more for technical/behind the scenes, rather than whether I know of purposely misleading presentations. haha. In my 100% honest opinion, I do not think ANY of the...

Behind The Scenes... Anything and everything you want to know

Hello, Thanks for the questions. I will have a look at the other threads at some point. But of course I know what you mean about the fibs. Producers are giving stock updates in the presenters ears. The presenter "should" be relaying this. Presenters do get carried away, or start doing their own...
