What caused the sudden drop in sales?

There was nothing sudden about it. Bid has been dying a slow progressive death for quite a few years now. This last year it's been on life support.

Worry Angels: symbolic of what was shambolic about Bid/Pricedrop

One was "Films beginning with M", someone phoned up and said Mulan, told they hadnt won and then when they were revealed one of the answers was Mulan 2, proper shady bastards. It's somewhere on YouTube that.

    Random musings/no argument zone

So Price Drops new feature "Rush Hour", they're basically asking viewers to get on the phone line and wait just in case they want the item when they reduce the price. "It's a free phone call", "you have nothing to lose". Clueless, the entire outfit.

    All new price drop

Referring to their buyers as "winners" could they be anymore patronising?

    All new price drop

Just watched this for the first time tonight, it's laughable. It needs Peter Simon, to see him under this sort of pressure would be hilarious. Mike Mason too.

"Bids Normal Price" new dodgy sales tactic ?

So they've placed the products for sale at a ridiculously high price, named their "normal price" on their website, just so they're not lying in their live TV auctions when displaying that "Normal Price" graphic?

This is a doozy of a lie

Same product on Amazon for £120, with free delivery. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ABBR7GI/?tag=shoppingcom03-21

One Day Special products are dire!

"iMedia blaze 7' tablet" Big brands my arse. £75 for a shitty tablet you can buy for £50 on eBay.

What do you expect to see 10/03/14 at 10 p.m.?

I'm guessing they'll announce the closure of Price a Drop but try and put a positive spin on it, e.g. as a rejuvenation of Bid into one "mega super shopping channel"

    Free P+P Today & £10 voucher

I can see them doing away with the P&P after today and re-designing their price structure and marketing.

"I have x number of people on the phone lines"

This has to be a complete lie, just then they had a quantity of 2 left for about 3 minutes and Del Boy was like "We have 5 on the phone lines" People don't actually ring up and wait around do they? I mean, surely if they dial the number they want it? I can't imagine anyone paying a premium...
  12. T

The Bid dictionary, what those infamous phrases really mean...

"I'd multi buy and sell it on" (You still have to pay p&p 7.99 on each one you order, losing any potential resale value at all)

    Mike Mason's CV

    Hi Mike :hi:
  14. T

    Mike Mason's CV

Pretty sure he once said he was a World War II survivor whilst flogging a copy of "A bridge on the River Kwai" on Betamax
  15. T

"I know great sound" Mikey's favourite saying

I wouldn't jump to such a conclusion until I'd tested the TV myself with one of Mike's bass reflex test sheets!

    Mason lies ... again

Lucky Elephants? Am I on drugs?
  17. T

    Did "Del-Boy" just

Drug dealers would buy a phone like this. 'Cause they're dog **** and disposable.
  18. T

    Did "Del-Boy" just

It's disgusting isn't it? He's even stooping to selling the phone on the strength of the Blackberry name "the reason blackberries are so popular"...
  19. T

    Did "Del-Boy" just

Oh my days, apparently this low end budget smartphone Vodafone sell for £15 with free delivery http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/mobile-phone/vodafone-354 is better than Blackberry and iPhone Jesus Christ, wonder how much they'll fleece viewers for it!
