Like a lot of other companies, and that certainly includes QVC, M&S has forgotten its core demographic, which is middle-aged and older, and the complaints from that demographic are very telling. As their advert might put it, "These are not just complaints, these are M&S complaints.."

    Clarks

Am I wrong in thinking Clarks are now Chinese owned? I'm sure I read it some time ago.

The stuff turning up in M&S certainly isn't of that calibre. There are masses of complaints about cheap material and unreliable sizing, as well as items not lasting, falling to bits after a couple of washes. Typical of what you find when poorly paid, exploited sweat shop labour is used.

    Dresses

If you look on Trustpilot, M&S has dreadful reviews, particularly since the standard of clothing went down, cheap material, poorly sized and poorly made, in places like Bangladesh, which screams sweatshop workers. Their customer care is now outsourced to South Africa, and is definitely not what...

The Huntley - where has she gone ?

I'm a Humanist celebrant; there are many thousands of people who prefer a non-religious service. I spend time with the bereaved, learning about the person who has died, and therefore helping to make the send-off a fitting one for the deceased. It's certainly how my own funeral will be carried...

Too fussy for my taste, too much going on.

Absolutely right. My main issue with the whole trans rights thing, is that, if anything, it has led to an increase in misogyny. It seems it's fine to put biological women down, but not men who identify as women. As an older woman, and therefore in the often considered irrelevant group...

    Oh dear UltraSun

La Roche-Posay is frequently recommended by derms, does well in strict tests like Which, and is reasonably priced. I'm a fair-skinned redhead, and been using it for years for its high protection.

    Outdoor Living

I'm phobic about spiders, and it's really crippling. I have heart problems, and when a spider appears, my heart rate goes chaotic. I live alone, and I find this phobia affects my quality of life.

    Before and After Pics

You can achieve a hell of a lot with photography, and even more with all manner of photographic enhancement, which isn't illegal. A cosmetic surgeon knows that creams/potions/gels etc., cannot alter anything; they would be regulated as drugs if they could. Still, as long as people are gullible...

    Phillip Schofield

There's reporting in the Observer today that one of the doctors used on the show to answer questions from viewers and talk about medical stuff, complained about a toxic culture on the show, and was subsequently managed out of the programme. I'm not aware of specific details as I don't watch the...

    Phillip Schofield

He's long made a fool of his wife, really staggered me that she was apparently so supportive of him finally coming out. Frankly, I'm amazed so many people didn't realise he was gay, married or not; I guessed he was gay a long, long time ago. Regardless of his personal life, I've always struggled...

Dannii Minogue Petite Fashion TSV 02/05/23

Amazing to me that this crap sells. ****** awful. What's the sales spiel going to be: "the perfect outfit to wear on the WI coach trip to this year's lecture on jam making.."?

You've really got to be tapped to pay a ridiculous sum of money for so-called mists. There really is one born every minute.

    Absolutely hideous.

    Nourish London 249 186

Because it's a marketing gimmick. There's no such thing as specific menopausal skincare, and dermatologists, as well as ethical skincare sellers, such as Victoria Health, are frequently calling out this attempt at bandwagon moneymaking.

    Loose crepey necks

I've aged reasonably well, despite major health issues and a lot of trauma through the years. I have the fairest of fair skin, so have never been a sun worshipper, and have always worn sunscreen year round. I don't have wrinkles on my face, but since menopause, I have a small amount of sagging...

I've never understood the Christmas jumper thing, I think it's ****** ridiculous.

    My middle name is ............

M&S quality has gone right down, you only need to look at the hundreds of 1 star reviews on Trustpilot to see how a once great company has gone down the toilet. The Guardian reported some time ago that M&S ready meals are now made by whoever makes Morrison's ready meals, but the M&S prices are...
